Universal New Energy Holding Group, Inc. Announces Strategic Partnership with Tianqing Zhixing to Accelerate Commercialization of Its Semi-Solid-State Battery System Products
Under a five-year Strategic Cooperation Agreement, the Company’s subsidiary Zhejiang Lingyi provides semi-solid-state cell technology and battery system integration technology, while Shanghai-based Tianqing Zhixing is responsible for brand operations, sales channels and battery management system development, opening a dedicated sales channel for the Company’s semi-solid-state battery system products.
Universal New Energy Holding Group, Inc. (OTC: UNEH) (the “Company”) announces that its subsidiary Zhejiang Lingyi has signed a five-year Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Tianqing Zhixing Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (天擎智行科技(上海)有限公司, “Tianqing Zhixing”), under which the parties will jointly advance the branded sales and market expansion of semi-solid-state battery system products. The cooperation is intended to combine the Company’s leading semi-solid-state cell technology with Tianqing Zhixing’s resource advantages in battery brand operations, sales channels and market promotion, moving the Company’s semi-solid-state batteries from the customer-testing stage toward large-scale, branded commercial application.
Under the agreement, Zhejiang Lingyi is responsible for cell research and development, production, quality control and technology iteration, while Tianqing Zhixing leads brand operations, channel development, market promotion and battery management system (“BMS”) development and bears the related certification and marketing costs. In the initial phase of large-scale production, the parties will prioritize a contract-manufacturing model led by Zhejiang Lingyi, with a joint-venture factory to be explored in the future. Under equivalent commercial conditions, Zhejiang Lingyi will offer Tianqing Zhixing pricing no less favorable than that offered to other third parties. The parties will also open market opportunities to each other, such as battery swapping for electric motorcycles and overseas exports, and explore deeper collaboration at the capital level, including investment and financing, mergers and acquisitions, and listings. Specific product specifications, supply plans and pricing will be set out in definitive agreements.
The cooperation addresses a broad market opportunity. Tianqing Zhixing has extensive market experience, a strong marketing team and large-customer resources, and has already established a presence in the power-bank rental market, which carries substantial battery demand; its power-bank rental platform can also reach large customers directly, facilitating resource matching and cooperation. Both companies believe their strengths are highly complementary: Tianqing Zhixing can empower the Company’s market expansion, while the Company’s advanced semi-solid-state battery technology and cost-effective products provide a solid foundation for Tianqing Zhixing to open up the market. In discussions between the parties, Mr. Liu, CEO of Tianqing Zhixing, expressed full confidence in and high expectations for the cooperation.
On the technology side, the Company has announced multiple semi-solid-state cell products with energy densities ranging from 190 Wh/kg to over 500 Wh/kg, some of which have passed UN38.3 safety testing and completed customer validation in low-altitude aircraft (eVTOL), robotics and electric two-wheeler applications. The Company’s semi-solid-state battery technology is highly compatible with existing lithium battery production lines, giving the contract-manufacturing model under the agreement a practical basis.
The Company believes this structure efficiently converts Tianqing Zhixing’s channel demand into orders while keeping core technology, production and quality under the control of its subsidiary, a capital-efficient route to market.
The cooperation marks the entry of the Company’s semi-solid-state battery business into a new stage of accelerated branded, large-scale commercialization.
