Universal New Energy Holding Group, Inc. Announces National Third-Party Verification of World-Leading 200C Power Rates for Its Sodium-Ion Battery Cell

Independent testing at the Institute of Chemical Power Sources of Light Industry, a national third-party testing institution, verified 100C continuous discharge with up to 92.5% capacity retention and instantaneous discharge at 200C, positioning UNEH’s sodium-ion platform for high-power applications.

Universal New Energy Holding Group, Inc. (OTC: UNEH) (the “Company”) announces that its 2.5 Ah high-power sodium-ion battery cell has completed independent third-party testing at the Institute of Chemical Power Sources of Light Industry (轻工业化学电源研究所 ). Under Test Report No. (2026)HQTW15, issued August 3, 2026, the cell completed continuous discharge at rates up to 100C and instantaneous discharge at 150C and 200 C.

The cells retained approximately 94.5% of their nominal capacity when discharged continuously at 50C (125 A), and still delivered up to 92% of their nominal capacity under a full continuous discharge at 100C. In instantaneous high-current testing, each cell completed two consecutive 2.5-second discharge pulses at both 150C and 200C, with first-pulse voltages of up to 2.591 V at 150C and 2.264 V at 200C recorded at one second. This is well above the 1.5 V nominal discharge limit of sodium ion batteries.

The Company believes that the verified instantaneous discharge at 150C and 200C, combined with approximately 92% capacity retention under 100C continuous discharge, ranks among the highest power-rate performance publicly reported for sodium-ion batteries worldwide. The Company believes these results place UNEH at the global forefront of high-power sodium-ion technology, consistent with its ambition to be a global leader in sodium-ion battery materials and battery products.

Business Significance

High-power batteries serve applications where instantaneous current delivery determines value, and they typically command premium pricing relative to standard energy-storage products. Sodium-ion chemistry is well suited to these segments with their abundant, low-cost raw materials, strong low-temperature behavior, and favorable safety characteristics. The Company expects the verified power-rate capability to broaden its addressable market and, subject to customer validation and qualification, to contribute revenue as commercialization advances. Target applications include engine starting and start-stop systems, hybrid power assist, grid frequency regulation, and data-center and UPS backup power.

In the Company’s internal characterization of the same 2.5 Ah sodium-ion cell platform (internal performance report dated August 19, 2026), the cells delivered strong results across temperature and durability testing: approximately 81-82% of room-temperature capacity retained at -40°C, 99.07% capacity retention after 165 cycles of 3C cycling at 55°C, and alternating-current resistance at approximately 2.6 mΩ after 150C pulse discharging.

Highlights

· National third-party verification: testing performed by the Institute of Chemical Power Sources of Light Industry under Test Report No. (2026)HQTW15, issued August 3, 2026.

· 100C continuous discharge verified: up to 2.450 Ah delivered at 250 A, approximately 92.5% capacity retention versus the 0.5C reference.

· 150C and 200C instantaneous discharge verified: consecutive 2.5-second pulses at 375 A and 500 A completed, with recorded voltages well above the discharge limit.

· Revenue expansion potential: the platform targets premium high-power segments such as engine starting, hybrid power support, grid frequency regulation, data-center and UPS backup, industrial equipment, drones, and robotics.
