· Issued by Mostostal Warszawa S.A.

On 23 July 2026, the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin hosted a press conference summarizing the implementation of the project "Reconstruction of the North Wing of the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin and comprehensive redevelopment of the North Terrace and the northern escarpment - Stage II." The event marked the symbolic completion of the entire project, culminating in the installation of a new architectural illumination system. The official lighting ceremony is scheduled for 24 July at 10:00 p.m.

- This was a challenging, yet extremely rewarding project. We carried out the works within a historic landmark of immense importance to the region, so from the very beginning we had one goal: to deliver the project to the highest engineering standards while fully respecting the site's historic fabric and heritage. Thanks to the excellent cooperation of all parties involved, we successfully brought the project to completion - said Marcin Sierpowski, Director of the Western Region at Mostostal Warszawa.

- After four years, we are completing a very important stage in the modernization of the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle. This investment has not only restored the Castle to its former glory but has also ensured its preservation for future generations. The new illumination is the symbolic finishing touch. From now on, the Castle will impress visitors not only during the day, but also after dark - emphasized Olgierd Geblewicz, Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

- Thanks to this project, we have not only rebuilt the Castle's North Wing, redeveloped the northern escarpment and modernized the North Terrace, but also improved the accessibility and functionality of our facilities. We can already see how much interest the Castle has attracted following the completion of these works. Once the illumination is switched on, it will look even more spectacular - said Wioleta Słoka, Acting Director of the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin.

- I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in delivering this project - the contractors, the Castle's management and its staff. Thanks to our joint efforts, the Castle has become a true architectural gem of West Pomerania and a unique landmark on the map of Poland and Europe - added Anna Bańkowska, Deputy Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

A key stage delivered by Mostostal Warszawa

Mostostal Warszawa was responsible for delivering the core part of the project, including the reconstruction of the Castle's North Wing and the comprehensive modernization of the North Terrace and the northern escarpment. The works were completed in 2025, reopening restored areas to visitors, including new exhibition galleries, the Ducal Terrace with its viewing platform, the Ducal Crypt and the Piwnica Theatre adjacent to the Crypt.

As part of its scope of works, Mostostal Warszawa also prepared the infrastructure required for the project's final stage - the installation of the Castle's architectural illumination system.

A symbolic conclusion to the project

The second and final stage of the project involved the installation of the Castle's façade illumination by Elektro-BUD. The new system comprises 283 energy-efficient LED luminaires, highlighting the architecture of one of West Pomerania's most important historic landmarks.

The official launch of the illumination is scheduled for 24 July at 10:00 p.m., symbolically bringing the long-term modernization project of the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin to a close. The celebration will be accompanied by Open Days and a variety of attractions prepared for residents and visitors alike.
