Mostostal Warszawa has completed the modernization of the PKP Intercity railway siding at Wrocław Główny station. The project included the reconstruction of the track layout together with the construction of a 3 kV DC overhead catenary system. It marks another milestone in the Company's long-term cooperation with PKP Intercity in Lower Silesia and represents an important step in the development of the region's railway infrastructure, strengthening the operator's rolling stock maintenance and servicing capabilities.

Project scope
The project involved the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure in the locomotive depot area, including the construction of two new access tracks and the modernization of Track No. 647, which is used for refuelling PKP Intercity locomotives. A new 3 kV DC overhead catenary system was also installed.
The investment also included the modernization of the site's technical infrastructure, improvements to the reliability of power supply systems, upgraded lighting, enhanced winter resilience of railway turnouts, and increased safety at level crossings. These improvements will contribute to greater reliability, operational efficiency, and safety of PKP Intercity's maintenance facilities in Wrocław.
Continuing cooperation
In previous years, Mostostal Warszawa completed the modernization of the adjacent locomotive depot building at Wrocław Główny station, including the refurbishment of inspection pits and the technical infrastructure used for rolling stock maintenance.
These completed projects further demonstrate Mostostal Warszawa's extensive experience in delivering specialized railway infrastructure investments and reinforce its position as a trusted partner of PKP Intercity in the development of facilities supporting the maintenance and servicing of railway rolling stock.
