Florianópolis, April 16, 2026 - ENGIE Brasil Energia has published its Sustainability Report, 2025 edition, containing the Company's key operational, environmental and social advances over the course of the year. The document underscores the commitment to the sustainable development agenda and to the environmental, social and governance (ESG) pillars, balancing growth and resilience. Over the period, EBE invested R$ 6 billion in the implementation of new projects, network expansion, modernization of systems and revitalization of operations. This trend is in alignment with the Company's strategy of sustainable growth and strengthening the Brazilian electric energy sector.

Outstanding role in promoting the energy transition in Brazil

ENGIE concluded 2025 with a total of 12.4 GW of installed capacity in operation as its contribution to the expansion of the renewable energy matrix in the country. Among the key projects going into operation in the period were the Assuruá Wind Complex (BA), with an output of 846 MW and the Assú Sol Photovoltaic Complex (RN) with 753 MWac. In the hydropower segment, the Company incorporated the Santo Antônio do Jari and Cachoeira Caldeirão plants in its portfolio, both operations located on the state divide between Amapá and Pará. And in the transmission sector, at year-end, the Company was able to report 3.200 kilometers of transmission line in operation, expanding the integration of renewable sources and the reliability of the domestic electric energy system.

"In 2025, we were able to report progress in the undertaking of a major cycle of investments in large-scale assets, both reinforcing our portfolio and, at the same time, contributing to the energy transition in Brazil. This initiative also helps drive the process of job creation, development of the supplier chain and the building of partnerships which leave a positive social legacy in the regions where we operate, at the same time, supporting our customers in their decarbonization journeys instrumentalized through low carbon solutions", declares ENGIE Brasil's Chief Executive Officer, Eduardo Sattamini.

Advances and recognition in the climatic and environmental scenario

ENGIE works on the basis of environmental guidelines covering biodiversity, water resources and climate, among others. These fronts are integrated into the Company's overall strategy, with structured actions aimed at prevention, mitigation, and generating positive impacts in the regions where our businesses are located.

Among the actions focusing on biodiversity, ENGIE runs seven forestry nurseries in different states and develops projects for conservation of species threatened with extinction. Among these are the project for conservation of jaguars in the Caatinga biome; the TamanduAsas giant anteater project with the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of wild animals back into the savannah (Cerrado) biome; and the project for conserving stands of araucaria pine trees in the Atlantic Rain Forest biome.

The management of water resources is also addressed in a structured manner through actions adopted for the protection of headwater springs and water quality including projects for conservation, monitoring, reuse and reduction in consumption. In 2025, this excellence in water management was recognized by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) with the awarding of an "A" classification. The Company also launched the 1st Call for Proposals for Water Use and Conservation, specifically for supporting schemes in water restoration and conservation in the northeastern semi-arid area of Brazil.

As for the climate agenda, during the year, ENGIE moved forward with the implementation of the Climate Journey. This is a platform which incorporates governance, metrics and management of climate risks, combining actions for mitigating emissions, adaptation and resilience of assets and operations together with decarbonization targets. In 2025, the Company met its interim target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), cutting these by more than 30% compared with 2021.

Among ENGIE Brasil's most notable initiatives is the Supplier Decarbonization program for engaging the value chain in emission reductions. This program has already been recognized internationally for its potential for making an effective contribution towards diminishing emissions along the value chain.

Social legacy built every day wherever it operates

ENGIE has invested R$ 26 million in social impact initiatives through the medium of proprietary and incentivized resources as part of its strategy of generating sustainable value. These funds were directed toward projects in education, culture, sports, child and youth protection, income generation, and the promotion of social well-being.

Among the highlights is the launch of the 5th Education Call for Proposals, which allocated R$ 450,000 to 45 projects in 17 states, supporting innovative and inclusive initiatives. The Company also expanded access to activities offered at six Culture Centers across the country, with over 1,000 participants during the year, in addition to inaugurating the seventh culture center in Saudade do Iguaçu (PR), at an investment of R$ 7 million.

The promotion of income generation and equity proceeded apace with the 6th Call for Proposals for the Women of Our Neighborhood program. This initiative allocated R$ 1.1 million in the form of 115 projects in 60 municipalities, including 15 women entrepreneurs from Rio Bonito do Iguaçu (PR), contributing to the local economic recovery following the tornado which devastated the region last year.

As for regional projects, ENGIE invested R$ 7.6 million in Serra do Assuruá (BA) where the Company's complex of the same name is located, with initiatives in sport, family agriculture and restoration of headsprings. In Assú Sol (RN), the Company executed work on community infrastructure while in the case of the Asa Branca Transmission System (BA), the focus was on projects involving sanitation, water supply, sport and well-being.

"At ENGIE Brasil, sustainability translates into concrete actions in the regions where we operate. By integrating environmental, climate, and social agendas into our business model, we seek to generate shared value, contribute to community development, and support a fair, resilient, and inclusive energy transition," says Chief Sustainability Officer, Thais Soares.

Reinforced governance and rated in global sustainability rankings

In 2025, the Company was able to report progress in its governance with the creation of the Sustainability Area, dedicated to a ESG agenda, and through the restructuring of the Sustainability Committee, responsible for monitoring targets, indicators and environmental, social and climatic risks and executing periodic reports for submission to the Board of Directors.

During the period, ENGIE Brasil was included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Emerging Markets Index promoted by S&P and together representing sustainability leaders in emerging markets. Its performance ranks among the six best in the world in the Electric Utilities sector, positioning it among the top 5% of companies in the segment, according to the Sustainability Yearbook published by the same organization.
