The TRANEX approach to sustainability in Africa is underpinned by an evidence-based and stakeholder-driven strategy, built on years of experience and service in the courier and logistics space in Nigeria's evolving and emerging market.
We closely monitor how our operations affect the flow and interact with greater economic, social, and environmental systems. As a company, data collection is key, and we use this data to improve our vision to be the preferred logistics company in Africa through consistently meeting and exceeding the expectations of our stakeholders. This vision has kept our company sustained and focused with leverage on our core values, which include: integrity, excellence, innovation, and teamwork. We are having positive impacts on our stakeholders and communities, while working to minimize and eliminate negative impacts on communities and the natural environment. We use that focus to identify initiatives that would best satisfy our objectives.
This sustainability report covers the activities of our Company for the period 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024 and complements the integrated
report for the same period. The report aims to provide a balanced, accurate and accessible overview of our strategy and performance relating to socio-economic, environmental issues, ethics, and human rights. The report aims to provide a more strategic view of our sustainability efforts and more comprehensive information.
WHO ARE WE? Trans-Nationwide Express Plc (TRANEX) is a leading Logistics Company engaged in domestic and International Express delivery, haulage, freight and other ancillary transportation and storage services. It is a wholly owned Nigerian company that was established in 1984 as TNT Skypak Nigeria Limited. In 1992, the name was changed to Trans-nationwide Express Plc. With a share capital of N250,000,000 and over 4,000 shareholders, it sought and obtained listing on the Nigeria Exchange Group (1st tier) in 1993. It is currently one of the only two l o g i s t i c s companies in Nigeria quoted on the Nigerian Exchange Group. OUR SERVICESThe company offers Express deliveries (Domestic and International) Logistics, Mailroom Management, Removals, Mass Mailings, Shipping, Freight, Clearing and Forwarding, Warehousing & products
order fulfillment, Biopharm/Cold Chain Solutions, Ecommerce, SME's deliveries, Cash Cargo and Dedicated Motorized Services.
OUR OFFERINGTRANEX offers speed of delivery of all shipments entrusted to its care; security of shipments; strong domestic network; personalized and flexible service; all these at a very competitive price. Transit times range between twelve (12) hours for Intracity mails, a n d t w e n t y - f o u r hours
(24) for airport cities, thirty- six hours
(36) for non-airport cities. All shipments ride in customized rain-proof, tough, and tamper-proof flyers. Besides, all shipments are moved in bags with pre-numbered bag seals.
TRANEX has offices and centers in over
50 locations nationwide, with new ones opened as the need arises. It also has three (3) regional offices in Port Harcourt, Abuja, a n d Lagos.
Above all, the company's tariff regime is not only competitive and flexible; it gives value for money and has a special concession for volume shippers.
OUR INFRASTRUCTUREBesides the network of offices nationwide, the company has a fleet of motorcycles, delivery vans, buses and trucks. These ensure seamless delivery of clients' consignments nationwide. TRANEX's Track and Trace ensures online tracking of all shipments, which in addition generates
automatic proof of delivery on daily, weekly and monthly basis, depending on the client's requirements. All shipments in transit are covered by a Goods-in-transit insurance policy underwritten by one of the industry's best.
OUR CLIENTELETRANEX offers Courier and Logistics Support to key players in the Nigerian economy. These include companies in Oil and Gas, Finance, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Government etc. It also engages in the movement of raw materials and finished products nationwide. It has the capacity in personnel and infrastructure to deliver anywhere, anytime, irrespective of size or weight, as it stays ahead of the competition to deliver quality and value-end services.

The company is directed by a Board comprising the Chairman, Managing Director and five non-Executive Directors with broad private and public sector experiences.
Supporting the Managing Director is a team of five Senior Managers who oversee Operations, Finance, Marketing, Administrative/Human Resources functions and Internal Control. With dedicated, highly skilled, and motivated staff with hands-on experience, the company currently provides Courier and Logistics services to over 500 companies in Nigeria, including blue- chip companies.

Our Sustainability PracticesAt TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC, we ensure that our sustainability practices are both holistic and inclusive across every part of the Company - Business Operations and Business Activities. Underpinning these, is a strong focus on Environmental and Social Risk Management. We have incorporated sustainability practices in Human Capital, thereby positioning us as an employer of choice. Within Corporate Social Investment (CSI), we perform our responsibilities towards the community within which we do business. We are focused on mainstreaming sustainable business practices into various parts of our operations. We monitor our ecological footprints with respect to the impact of our business operations, in terms of power maximization, waste management, carbon emissions, energy and water efficiency and building designs and architecture that are green. In addition to this, we assess, develop and screen suppliers with a view to ensuring the sustainability of our vendors' activities and their ability to meet our procurement needs and also assist them in mitigating social and environmental costs.
We understand that if deliberate steps are not taken to urgently combat climate change and its impact, it could pose dire consequences to economic and social well-being and development efforts.
The Company continuously seek initiatives to reduce energy requirement and manage resources efficiently. Electronic equipment such as air conditioners are being replaced with low energy consuming once.

In this report, you will find information that describes the ways in which we use our assets and capabilities to respond to needs in the communities in which we operate. You will also find information about how we manage ethics within our operational processes, address human rights and workplace issues, and manage environmental and social challenges.
StakeholdersTo create a net positive impact and to be a responsible business partner, it is critical for us to understand our stakeholders' concerns and to address them appropriately. With the aim of being more responsive to our stakeholders' concerns, a framework for stakeholder engagement was developed at a group level and cascaded to operating countries for customization and implementation.
SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES Grievance MechanismWe strive to ensure that all employees, customers and other stakeholders have a dignified experience in their interactions with TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC. We are therefore committed to creating a work environment that is free of harassment and intimidation in line with our Code of Conduct and ethics. In line with this principle, we have a grievance mechanism in place, providing employees with a platform for reporting grievances and ensuring that grievances are resolved in the best possible way.
Training and Development ProgramsOur learning philosophy is about creating a company where learning is ubiquitous with a productive learning culture. A huge investment is made annually to design a learning strategy that provides a blended learning approach involving both classroom and digital learning, coaching, mentoring, personal development, job rotation and international assignment.
Categories of learning interventionsIn line with the objective to build capability across the various facets of the company, learning interventions fall into either functional competencies or capability build training programs for our staff.
Functional competencies - These are training programs that focus on core job related competencies. They could also include conferences and seminars that focus on specific job function. Capability builds training programs - Capability programs cut across job functions and focuses on building organizational skills that deliver on business goals. These programs will include both classrooms and digital content. The capability programs have been defined in the TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC Capability Map below which defines the specific capability for each grade level across the organization. Occupational Health and SafetyOur company is committed to a zero-incident work environment with a safety culture based on teamwork and dedicated safety leadership. It reflects the TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC 's safety vision, which is "Everyone going home safe and Healthy Everyday". All injuries and occupational illnesses are considered preventable.
More so, we are committed to providing service to our customers in a safe and healthy manner. Work related injuries or illness are reduced to the minimum. we are also committed to eliminating controllable workplace hazards to protect ourselves and our customers. TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC seeks to promote a safe work place, earn the public's trust as a safety conscious organisation and meet regulatory requirements.
TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC through a number of policies, guide the activities of staff and the affairs of the organisation to eliminate or minimize the frequency of workplace accidents, and optimize the response to these incidences. In addition to this, the Group manages the frequency of occurrence and severity of workplace accidents, fatalities and occupational and safety incidents through its Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system. TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC 's strategies to achieve its health, safety andenvironment objectives are as follows:
Ensuring staff HSE awareness at all levels.
Training all TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC staff to the level of competence required by the job.
Appointment and training of Safety/Fire Champions in all Branches.
Incorporating HSE practices into work procedure.
Safeguarding the integrity of our facilities, analyze major equipment failures and develop manuals for a proactive response.
Encourage involvement of contractors and third parties in our HSE programs.
Reviewing operational procedures and improve personnel adherence to them.
Ensuring security of lives and assets.
Sustaining the strategy for environmental protection and waste management.
Workplace accidents, fatalities and occupational and safety incidents are managed and tracked using indicators. In addition to this, contingency plan for any unwanted event is in place. The plan highlights what should be done and the persons to be contacted in the event of an emergency.
Materiality processMateriality is determined by reviewing the issues most important to our stakeholders, and assessing the impact of these issues on the achievement of our business objectives. Material matters are then prioritized according to the scale and nature of impact on business operations, economic performance and interests of our stakeholder groups.
GUIDED BY THE INTERNATIONAL BILL ON HUMAN RIGHTS TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC in its commitment to uphold Human Rights has continued to identify with the International Bill on Human Rights and the conventions of the International Labour Organization. To demonstrate this resolve, the Company in dealing with employees, suppliers and third-party contractors, ensures fair treatment without any form of discrimination or disregards of human rights.The Company's Human Rights Policy defines the Company's commitment to upholding human rights standards and encapsulates a non-discrimination policy which prohibits the use of child labour, forced labour and discrimination on grounds of religion, gender, race, tribe, age, physical challenge, or economic background.

TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC maintains effective Whistle Blowing policies, and grievance mechanism policies for prompt identification and remediation of grievances. Our HR Clinic initiative is designed to provide an interactive one-on-one meeting between the HR team and employees Company- wide. The HR open door initiative creates opportunity for feedback on HR processes, counseling to staff (including stress management) and promotes freedom of expression.The Company also ensures that human rights considerations are given due attention during lending decisions and same standards are embedded in contract agreements including the service level agreements of vendors.

representation in its workforce. As at December 31st, 2024, TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC had 32% female representation in its total workforce. The Company at the end of 2024 also had 17% women representation on the full Board. Also, given the Company's commitment to ensure equity in employee development, the Company has several policies that support their employees as well as the welfare of their families. Employees are given adequate access to the staff health care plans, amongst others.
HEALTH POLICIESThe Company in its commitment to support good health and wellbeing recognizes her workforce as one of her most strategic assets with a competitive advantage for sustainable business success.
The Company has a robust Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and has appointed safety champions and fire wardens with day-to-day responsibility for the management of Health and Safety in the institution. The safety champions and fire wardens are regularly trained. On a regular basis, awareness materials on Health and Safety are communicated to all employees while formal trainings are conducted through the Company's Lecture/seminar Series with all employees benefiting.
We are committed to supporting the good health and wellbeing of every employee and to adopting best practices that cater for their healthcare using appropriate medical intervention through HMO services, guidance and counseling, cancer care treatment, annual medical check-up, equal opportunity policy structures and workplace inclusiveness.
TIMELY REPORTING AND TRANSPARENT DISCLOSURESWe are guided by relevant statutes and codes on Corporate Governance as well as the Company and Allied Matters Act (2004). TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC
seeks to provide accurate and timely information regarding its financial activities as well as more general information in accordance with its corporate governance stance.
The Company recognizes the importance of disclosure of information, both for itself and its clients, as a means of managing environmental, social and governance risks. To guard against the risk of financial crime within our business, we focus on training our employees, strengthening our screening systems and ensuring that our policies and procedures are effective and up to date.
CODE OF ETHICS AND INSIDER DEALING TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC continues to pride itself in its long-standing good professional and ethical reputation which is sustained through a combination of policies, systems and cultural practices. The Company has a Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy which clearly communicates the Company's zero tolerance for corruption, money laundering, bribery, abuse of office and similar transgressions. We have an Ethics Committee, which, among its duties, ensures that provisions of this Policy are communicated to all staff at the start of each year, followed by individual staff attestation to comply with the provisions. The Company has in place a Whistleblowing Policy. TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC's Anti-Corruption Policies and procedures are also regularly communicated to employees and management in the Company. There were no fines paid by the Company on account of any of its staff being found wanting on cases of Corruption in 2024. The Company also did not also contravene any environmental law and regulation in 2024 hence no monetary fines paid. TRANS-NATIONWIDE EXPRESS PLC is committed to delivering products and services with the intent to "do no harm" to the environment and the people. Inproviding cutting edge services, our Company ensures transparency in the provision of information and the overall satisfaction of the customer.

We thus have a responsibility to help achieve a low-carbon society by prioritizing our decarbonization activities of using alternative power supplies, which seeks to provide more value to customers and society while using less energy.
