(TSX.V: TLG)
RICHMOND, BC, Sept. 27 /CNW Telbec/ - Tagish Lake Gold Corp.
(TSX.V - TLG) is pleased to report on the assay results received for holes
SC06-62 to SC06-67. These holes are part of the program to outline the Rainbow
Two Zone, and to test the other mineralized zones. An increase in the drill
program to 6,500 metres from 5,000m has been approved by the Board of
Directors. The expanded program will allow greater drill density on the zones,
and will explore the Rainbow Two zone to the east of the known intersections.

Holes SC06-62 to SC06-64 were drilled on the same section as holes
SC06-57 to SC06-61 previously reported (See News Release of Sept. 25, 2006) to
provide intercepts approximately 20 metre vertically above and below these
holes. Hole SC06-62 was lost, due to a tool failure. Holes SC06-63 & SC06-64
encountered the Rainbow Two zone but only returned low grade values.
Holes SC06-65 to SC06-67 were drilled on the section located 20 metres to
the west of the previous section.
Robert Rodger, President of Tagish Lake Gold Corp. said, "The results
confirm that the Berg mineralized zone extends laterally. As previously
reported (See News Release of July 31, 2006), a second zone with high values
was also intersected in hole SC06-49, some 120 metres to the east of these
intersections. The additional drilling necessary to define the Berg zone is
ongoing."
The 2006 drilling program is under the supervision of Christopher Naas,
P.Geo, of CME Managing Consultants Inc., a qualified person under NI 43-101.
The core is sawed in half, with one half stored for future reference. Sampling
and assaying procedures are subject to a rigorous QA/QC program, which
includes insertion of standards and blanks for each batch of samples. All
samples were shipped in sealed packages to Eco-Tech Laboratories in Kamloops,
BC for preparation and analyses. Samples which returned values greater than
900 ppb Gold (Au) by ICP were fire assayed for gold.
