(TSX.V: TLG) RICHMOND, BC., Sept. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Tagish Lake Gold Corp. (TSX.V - TLG) announces that the mineral processing test work on samples from the high grade gold-silver Rainbow zone on the Skukum Creek deposit in the Yukon has demonstrated an improvement in silver recoveries from 50% to 70%, through the use of different reagents in the flotation circuit. The objective of the test program is to definitively determine the mineral processing for the zones at Skukum Creek, to provide over 90 % recovery for gold, in addition to the silver. The current test program indicates flotation of a bulk concentrate, followed by leaching, remains the process method of choice. These studies will also provide the data and information necessary to establish the process plant flowsheet. The report outlining these results is expected shortly. Additional testing to improve on the results is ongoing. In addition, process testing will be conducted on samples from the Rainbow Two zone where diamond drilling is presently underway. Robert Rodger, President of Tagish Lake Gold Corp. said, "The improved recoveries of the excellent silver values in the zones at Skukum Creek will have a dramatic impact on revenues from the project. An additional ounce of silver per tonne of feed to the plant will be recovered." The mineral process test program is being conducted by Doug Warkentin, P.Eng. of Vizon Scitec Inc., a qualified person under NI 43-101.
