Rosenbauer's partner Kenbri Fire Fighting is handling the order
The Dutch Ministry of Defence has awarded a major contract to Kenbri Fire Fighting, Rosenbauer's exclusive partner in the Netherlands, to renew the existing vehicle fleet at airports. The vehicles currently in use (crash tenders) will be replaced by 26 new Rosenbauer PANTHER 6x6 vehicles.
"This order once again highlights the strong international position of the Rosenbauer PANTHER as a leading aircraft rescue firefighting vehicle. Together with our long-standing partner Kenbri, we're making a significant contribution to the safety and operational capability of local airport fire services. The fact that we are part of a comprehensive fleet modernization program confirms that customers have confidence in our technology, quality, and service expertise throughout the entire product life cycle," says Andreas Zeller, Chief Sales Officer at Rosenbauer International AG.
Two configurations for maximum flexibility
Seven vehicles with high reach extendable turrets (HRET) and 19 vehicles with powerful roof turrets will be supplied. The HRET units are equipped with an extendable telescopic arm that reaches a height of around 16 meters and enables effective firefighting from a safe distance. Water, foam, or extinguishing powder can be dispensed with high precision via the extinguishing arm. The vehicles with roof turrets have electrical remote-controlled turrets with flow rates of up to 9,000 l/min and throw ranges of over 90 meters. A rapid and effective response to major fires is possible due to acceleration of 0-80 km/h in less than 33 seconds. All vehicles comply with international ICAO and NFPA standards and are tailored to the precise operational requirements of the Dutch airport fire services.
