- The little sister of the big FOX impresses with a delivery rate of 1,050 l/min at 10 bar
- This means that a B-hose line can be supplied with 1,000 l/min even over long distances
- Compact dimensions and a slim 154 kg make transportation and handling easier
- The FOX S completes Rosenbauer's portable fire pump portfolio and ideally complements the FOX, BEAVER and OTTER models
With the FOX S, Rosenbauer is once again presenting a highlight at the international firefighting trade fair FLORIAN in Dresden. Smaller and easier to handle than the large FOX, the FOX S is characterized by the same high-end qualities and functions as its big sister - but for a hose line. "The FOX S is the ideal choice when every kilo of weight counts, but all the functions of a FOX are important It impresses with the robust technology that fire departments around the world appreciate about our products," says Roland Weber, Product Manager at Rosenbauer.
Highly effective, easy to maintain and operate
The FOX S has a single-stage centrifugal pump that has been specially developed for this application. Its impeller with spatially curved blades in a spiral housing made of light metal guarantees a very high level of efficiency. A pump shaft made of stainless steel, the lubricant-free and maintenance-free mechanical seal and the clamping ring design of the pump make the FOX S extremely easy to maintain.
The FOX S is also easy to operate - a single push of a button starts the FOX S. The intuitively understandable user interface of the Rosenbauer Logic Control System (RBC LCS) provides all status information and reports malfunctions. The integrated cavitation warning and inlet pressure monitoring prevent damage to the pump. In addition, a mechanical system protects against overheating: from a water temperature of around 60°C, hot water is drained and cooler water can flow in.
Powerful performance, safe handling
The FOX S is powered by a 2-cylinder in-line engine from BRP-Rotax with electronic engine control. The water-cooled unit from Austrian development and production is designed for use in both particularly hot and very cold countries with a wide range of environmental conditions. A fuel tank with a capacity of 20 liters ensures good endurance. Refueling during operation enables non-stop use.
Rubberized handles, each long enough for two hands and foldable, ensure safe carrying. Quick-fit wheels enable transportation by just one person. The carrying frame can be fitted with lighting, which ensures good lighting conditions on the way to the suction point even at night. The FOX S can be controlled from a vehicle via an additional control unit, enabling pump-and-roll operation or use in a swap body.
FOX, FOX S, BEAVER and OTTER - the four musketeers from Rosenbauer
With the new compact FOX S and the larger FOX, Rosenbauer customers now have two portable fire pumps with a unified operating concept and flexible options to choose from. The FOX family meets the standard requirements PFPN 10-1000, 10-1500 and 10-2000. The large FOX remains the most successful portable pump certified to EN 14466 and has already proven itself time and again in the toughest firefighting operations worldwide. With a flow rate of 2,050 l/min at 10 bar and a suction lift of 3 meters, it is the most powerful FOX ever built - and the most capable portable fire pump in its class.
The BEAVER was also updated in 2025 and is now even more powerful thanks to a new engine. With the redesigned controls and the new carrying handles that can be rotated and folded in two directions, it is easier and more ergonomic to operate. Combining low weight, extremely compact dimensions, and high performance, it is a real powerhouse at just 133 kg. As a portable fire pump in the PFPN 10-750 category, its rated output of more than 900 l/min at 10 bar and 3 m suction lift is well above the requirements of this class.
Rosenbauer's portable pump portfolio is perfectly rounded off by the OTTER - a popular entry-level model weighing in at a lightweight 58 kg, offering great maneuverability in the field. "BEAVER and OTTER stand out for their exceptional ease of use and maintenance. They can be transported to the scene with minimal effort and provide firefighting crews with a reliable and long-lasting water supply," says Product Manager Roland Weber.
