Bumi Resources received the Gold Champion award for its Mangrove Conservation and Community Development CSR program at Pantai Bungin, Bekasi, West Java, at the Bisnis Indonesia CSR Awards (BISRA) 2025 , as well as the Merit Achievement Award in Environmental Budget Commitment at the CSR Awards 2025 organized by Investortrust. Both events took place in Jakarta on 30 September 2025. The Gold Champion award was granted following a series of assessments, including a program evaluation report, a Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis, and a presentation and Q&A session with the BISRA 2025 jury. Through the Mangrove Conservation and Community Development program, Bumi Resources has planted 30,375 Rhizophora mangrove trees in areas affected by coastal abrasion, capable of absorbing up to 33 tons of CO₂e. From a community empowerment perspective, the program has also successfully increased the income of beneficiary groups by 119%, from IDR 9.6 million to IDR 21.03 million per year, while assisting them in obtaining business legality ranging from the Business Identification Number (NIB) to PIRT licensing and halal certification. The Merit Achievement Award in Environmental Budget Commitment recognizes companies that dedicate specific budgets to environmentally focused initiatives. The company's commitment to implementing CSR and environmental programs, such as biodiversity conservation, tree planting, waste management, and other environmental activities through KPC and Arutmin, has resulted in a total allocation of USD 72,058,629, as reported in the 2024 Sustainability Report. These achievements demonstrate that Bumi Resources and its business units, KPC and Arutmin, are not only focused on coal production to support national energy security but also committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.
