· Issued by S.p.e.e.h. Hidroelectrica S.A.

Today, May 25, 2026, Hidroelectrica S.A. has signed the turnkey contract for the construction of the Tudor Vladimirescu Photovoltaic Power Plant, located in Brăila County, a flagship project within the company's strategy to diversify its generation portfolio in the renewable energy sector.

The contract, awarded through an open tender procedure to Enevo Group S.R.L., in accordance with Law no. 99/2016 on sectoral procurement, has a value of RON 151.2 million (compared to the initially estimated RON 158.6 million, excluding VAT) and covers design, equipment procurement, construction works, and commissioning of the plant-an integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project.

The plant will comprise approximately 70,676 photovoltaic panels, each with a nominal capacity of 650 Wp, connected via 184 three-phase inverters to 9 collector transformer substations. It will have an installed capacity of 45.94 MWp and an estimated annual output of 59.21 GWh/year. The total contract duration is 36 months, of which 24 months represent the actual execution period.

"The signing of this contract marks another concrete step in Hidroelectrica's transformation from a purely hydropower producer into an integrated player in Romania's green energy sector. Tudor Vladimirescu is not just a solar park-it is a clear signal that Hidroelectrica is evolving. We aim to remain relevant in Romania's energy landscape of tomorrow, not just that of today," stated Bogdan-Nicolae Badea, CEO of Hidroelectrica.

The award procedure was conducted entirely electronically via the SEAP platform (e-licitație.ro), with the award criterion being the best value for money, weighted 80% for the financial component and 20% for the extended technical warranty period offered beyond the minimum 60 months required under the tender specifications.

Hidroelectrica is the largest producer of renewable energy in Romania, managing a portfolio of 188 hydropower plants and one wind power plant, with a total installed capacity of 6.5 GW, including the Crucea wind farm with 108 MW installed. Hidroelectrica is also the largest electricity supplier in Romania, both on the competitive segment and across the overall market.
