Where are the financing dollars coming from. Retail/Large indivdual/Broker led or major mining companies. What metals are still the most favoured, have Nickel Platinum Palladium come to peoples attention in earnest. Thx.

In Ontario and BC, there are many 'Rings of Fire' aka very economic deposits far from infrastructure such as roads. Is there a bigger push to get infrastructure to there and how supportive are the First Nations in more remote areas to getting the added infrastructure?

Jeff Ackert
President, CEO, & Director at Cascade Copper

Mr. Ackert began his career as a regional geologist with St. Joe Minerals, Bond Gold Canada and LAC Minerals in the 1980s. In 1990 he became mine geologist at LAC Minerals’ Golden Patricia Mine (Barrick Gold Corp after 1994) where he specialized in production and exploration. In 1996 he was appointed VPEx for Orezone Resources Inc. focusing on West Africa and was subsequently named VP Technical Services in 2005.
Mr. Ackert was a co-founder of C3 Metals, a successful explorer for copper in Peru and Jamaica where several significant porphyries and skarns have been discovered.
Mr. Ackert holds a BSc. In Geology from the University of Toronto.

Mike Garbutt
President & CEO at Clean Air Metals

Mr. Garbutt is a Professional Mining Engineer with a 25-year career in mine operations, projects, and engineering. He was most recently the Deputy General Manager with IAMGOLD at the Côté Gold Project with a primary focus on the operational readiness of the asset. Prior to this Mr. Garbutt was a Senior Principal and Mining Sector Leader with Stantec Consulting, supporting major mining companies in the execution of a wide range of capital projects and studies across the globe. He was also the General Manager of Sudbury Operations for KGHM and held senior technical and operating roles during a 14-year career with Glencore. Mr. Garbutt holds an MBA from Laurentian University and serves on the board of the Ontario Mining Association and select non-profit organizations.

Brian Skanderbeg
President & CEO at GFG Resources
Mr. Skanderbeg was most recently President and CEO of Claude Resources Inc. since November 2014 – which was acquired by Silver Standard Resources Inc. for $337 million. He previously worked for Goldcorp, Inco Ltd. and Helio Resources, holding positions in both exploration and operations. Mr. Skanderbeg is also a director of Wesdome Mines. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba and an M.Sc. from Rhodes University, South Africa. He brings extensive experience in the exploration and evaluation of gold systems, operational management, cost and asset optimization and strategic analysis.
