Mr. Ackert began his career as a regional geologist with St. Joe Minerals, Bond Gold Canada and LAC Minerals in the 1980s. In 1990 he became mine geologist at LAC Minerals’ Golden Patricia Mine (Barrick Gold Corp after 1994) where he specialized in production and exploration. In 1996 he was appointed VPEx for Orezone Resources Inc. focusing on West Africa and was subsequently named VP Technical Services in 2005.
Mr. Ackert was a co-founder of C3 Metals, a successful explorer for copper in Peru and Jamaica where several significant porphyries and skarns have been discovered.
Mr. Ackert holds a BSc. In Geology from the University of Toronto.

Speaker 1: Jeff, always a pleasure. As we close off or close out rather 2025, Speaker 1: what would you say were the most significant achievements for Cascade Copper this year and how do they position the company moving forward? Speaker 2: Kyle, thank you for the invite today. A pleasure to be here. Speaker 2: With regards to 2025 Speaker 2: and Speaker 2: what Speaker 2: our highlights were, Speaker 2: I guess the 1st 1 would be Speaker 2: our financing that we did part way through the year. Speaker 2: And the Speaker 2: 2nd financing that we're actually in the middle of right now. And maybe just a quick comment that the difference in the response to the financing, Speaker 2: even though prices were the same Speaker 2: right across the board has been extraordinarily Speaker 2: higher Speaker 2: at this time of the year. And I think there's a couple of things that are from that. Speaker 2: And 1, I think we can thank Speaker 2: our government, both Speaker 2: provincial and federal, Speaker 2: for their, Speaker 2: I would say their incentives in helping Speaker 2: the junior resource industry Speaker 2: and the awareness Speaker 2: in Speaker 2: critical metals Speaker 2: and a Canadian-based Speaker 2: supply chain.
