Sego Resources Trenching Locates New Zone

· Issued by Sego Resources Inc. via CNW

VANCOUVER, June 5 /CNW/ - Sego Resources reports that additional assay results have been received from the 3200 metre excavator trenching program on its Miner Mountain Project. The trenching and reclamation is contracted to the Upper Similkameen Indian Band and its highly qualified personnel. Vic Preto, Ph.D., P.Eng. is geological consultant and Qualified Person for NI 43-101. The current results are from a new zone, the centre of which, is located 850 metres south of the Regal Zone (see news release June 2, 2008). These excavator trenches are re-trenching of former bulldozer trenching by previous exploration companies. Excavator trenching has the advantage of greater depth and greater rock exposure. This southern area is situated within a large copper, gold soil geochemical anomaly and consists of copper, gold, and silver mineralization associated with propylitic and potassic alteration in diorite and microdiorite.

Sego Resources is planning more trenching to determine whether the Granby and Regal Zones are linked (a total strike length of 1.5 km) followed by diamond drilling. Further trenching of this new zone and other soil geochemical anomalies will be conducted during the drill program.

Samples in trench 36 and 42 ran higher than the upper limit of accuracy for copper and gold by ICP methods. For this reason Sego Resources Inc. re-assayed copper highs for total copper, and gold /silver highs by fire assay with an ICP finish. These results are in the table. Sample designation: C(equal sign)1 metre rock chip sample, R(equal sign)Rock grab sample taken from spoil where trench was too deep and unstable to safely enter for chip sampling.

The Miner Mountain Project is a Copper Gold Porphyry Project near Princeton, BC, 15 kilometres north of former producer Copper Mountain Mining Corporation's advanced project, in the Traditional Territory of the Upper Similkameen Indian Band. Sego has an MOU with the Upper Similkameen Band. The Miner Mountain property is 2400 hectares in size. Sego Resources has funding in place for a one million dollar exploration program in 2008.
