VANCOUVER, Sept. 24 /CNW/ - Sego Resources Inc. and the Upper Similkameen Indian Band accepted the prestigious award for mine reclamation (mineral exploration category) on September 17, 2008 at a ceremony in Kamloops, BC. The Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation, of the Mining Association of British Columbia and the BC Ministry of Energy Mines and Petroleum Resources, awarded the annual BC Mine Reclamation Award (Mineral Exploration Category) in recognition of outstanding reclamation achievement.

The award was accepted by J. Paul Stevenson, CEO, Sego Resources Inc.; Chief Rick Holmes, Upper Similkameen Indian Band and Bob Dennis, USIB contractor who managed the trenching and reclamation.

This Award is an example of First Nations expertise building capacity within a mineral exploration company. Not only did the company learn about the complex reclamation issues in the Princeton Area but also discovered new mineral showings in a large Porphyry Copper/Gold project that is now being drilled.
