VANCOUVER, May 12 /CNW/ - Sego Resources reports that a second set of assay results has been received from the 3200 metre excavator trenching program on its Miner Mountain Project. The trenching and reclamation is being contracted to the Upper Similkameen Indian Band and its highly qualified personnel. Mapping and sampling is being conducted by Sean Daly, P.Geo. and Curt Kauss and consulting is being provided by Vic Preto, Ph.D., P.Eng. Trenching to date in the Granby Zone has reached well mineralized bedrock in many trenches where it had not been reached by historical bulldozer trenching. In addition to previously released results, the Company has new results from trenches 17, 22, 23, 25, 26,and 30 of a total of 49 trenches to date. These trenches continue westerly from trenches 1-14, the results of which were announced in the April 24, 2008 News Release. A number of the samples in this second set of results ran (greater than)10,000 ppm copper which is the upper limit of accuracy for ICP methods. For this reason Sego Resources Inc. re-assayed copper highs for total copper, and gold/silver highs by fire assay with an ICP finish. These results are in the table. Sample designation: C(equal sign)1 metre rock chip sample, R(equal sign)Rock grab sample taken from spoil where trench was too deep and unstable to safely enter for chip sampling.

A map showing the trench locations will be available May 13, 2008 on the Sego website www.segoresources.com
Sego Resources is continuing a program of soil sampling, rock geochemical analysis and re-assay where necessary. Results will be announced as they are available. The Miner Mountain Project is a Copper Gold Porphyry Project near Princeton, BC, 15 kilometres north of former producer Copper Mountain Mining Corporation's advanced project, in the Traditional Territory of the Upper Similkameen Indian Band. Sego has an MOU with the Upper Similkameen Band. The Miner Mountain property is 2400 hectares in size. Sego Resources has funding in place for a one million dollar exploration program in 2008.
