VANCOUVER, April 24 /CNW/ - Sego Resources reports that the first re-assays and fire assays from the 3200 metre excavator trenching program on its Miner Mountain Project have been received. The trenching and reclamation is being managed by the Upper Similkameen Indian Band and its highly qualified personnel. Mapping and sampling is being conducted by Sean Daly, P.Geo. and Curt Kauss and consulting is being provided by Vic Preto, Ph.D., P.Eng. The trenching to date, currently in what has been known as the Granby Zone, has reached well mineralized bedrock, most of which was not reached by historical bulldozer trenching. The company has new results for the first 14 trenches of a total of 49 trenches to date. In some locations the overburden was too deep for trenching to reach bedrock. A number of the samples ran greater than 10,000 ppm copper and greater than 2 ppm gold which is the upper limit of accuracy for ICP methods. For this reason Sego Resources Inc. re-assayed for total copper, and gold/silver highs by fire assay with an ICP finish. These results are in the table. Sample designation: C equals 1 metre rock chip sample, R equals Rock grab sample taken from spoil where trench was too deep and unstable to safely enter for chip sampling.

Sego Resources is continuing a process of rock geochemistry and re-assay where necessary. Results will be announced as they are available. The Miner Mountain Project is a Porphyry Copper Gold Project near Princeton, BC, 15 kilometres north of Copper Mountain Mining Corporation's advanced project, in the Traditional Territory of the Upper Similkameen Indian Band. Sego has an MOU with the Upper Similkameen Band. The Miner Mountain property is 2400 hectares in size. Sego Resources has funding in place for a one million dollar exploration program in 2008.
