PressRelease Energi Mega Persada successfully discovers new gas in place in Sengkang PSC (South Sulawesi) Jakarta, 1 December 2025 PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk ( " EMP " or " the Company " ) announces discovery in its exploration drilling in Sengkang PSC (Production Sharing Contract). A conclusive result was obtained on 1 December 2025. The new gas discovery took place in the East Walanga Structure (EWL-1 exploration Well). The testing results indicate that the well discovery is capable of producing gas with flow rate in the range of 25 to 36 MMSCFD, supported by an Absolute Open Flow (AOF) potential of 120 MMSCFD, demonstrating strong deliverability and clear commercial potential. Syailendra S. Bakrie, President Director and CEO of EMP, stated that based on subsurface evaluation, EMP has confirmed the discovery of 0.2 TCF. " Further exploration activities are expected to increase the potential discovery to up to 0.5 TCF within the East Walanga combined structure, " said Syailendra. He added, " EMP has worked closely with SKK Migas throughout the evaluation, drilling, and testing stages that led to this gas discovery. EMP will continue to coordinate intensively with SKK Migas as the exploration project progresses. " Edoardus Ardianto, Vice President Director and CFO of EMP, explained, " EMP will conduct additional drilling activities to convert the gas discovery into reserves that can be booked and commercialized by the Company. Furthermore, EMP will also begin exploration drilling in other prospective areas within the Sengkang Block.
