PressRelease Energi Mega Persada announced the new oil discovery from South CPP Block, and the successful Bentu-2 gas well reactivation in Bentu Block Jakarta, 25 March 2026 Blok South CPP (Riau, Sumatera) PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk ( " EMP " or " the Company " ) today reported that its subsidiary, PT EMP Tunas Energi, had new oil discovery from the Cenako-1 Twin exploration well, which is part of the South CPP block in Riau, Sumatera. The drilling activity of such exploration well has currently reached 2,475 feet (754 meters) deep. Based on the preliminary well testing result and the subsurface data on the 17th of March, 2026, the Cenako structure has an estimated 15.6 million barrels of Original Oil in Place. Edoardus Ardianto, EMP's Vice President Director & Chief Financial Officer, said, " We will continue the exploration works and further drilling activities to convert such discovery to become oil reserves for future commercial development. We plan to acquire the relevant seismic data and drill 3 additional wells with the potential production of around 500 barrels oil per day. " Syailendra Bakrie, EMP's President Director & Chief Executive Officer, added, " We will try to accelerate the conversion of this oil discovery to become commercial production so that it can add value to all of the EMP's respective stakeholders. The discovery is part of EMP's commitment to the national's hydrocarbon reserve increase and the Country's improved energy resilience. " Blok Bentu (Riau, Sumatera) EMP also reported that its subsidiary, EMP Bentu Limited, has successfully reactivated the Bentu field, specifically, the Bentu-2 well through the pipeline construction and the intensive workover activities. The Bentu-2 well was previously an idle well that was not in production. However, with the completion of the pipeline construction in December 2025, followed by the workover activities from February to March 2026, the Company was able to successfully reactivate and start the gas production from the well. The investment spent which led to such gas discovery has been kept below the approved budget, which reflects EMP's efficient operations. The initial gas flow test shows that Bentu-2 well can produce around 5 million cubic feet gas per day, with the total estimated production of 15 million cubic feet of gas per day from the Bentu gas field.
