New transformer in operation: ISA , through INTERCOLOMBIA, commissioned the fourth 500/230 kV transformer in Betulia, Santander. In accordance with the schedule established by the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (UPME), ISA, through its company INTERCOLOMBIA , commissioned the fourth 500/230 kV transformer at the Sogamoso substation, located in Betulia, Santander. This project, awarded in the UPME 02 call for tenders in 2023, strengthens the reliability of the National Transmission System, improves resilience in the face of growing demand, and contributes to the country's energy stability. This expansion also optimizes the use of the generation capacity of the Sogamoso, Merieléctrica, and Tasajero power plants, ensuring a more secure and efficient service for millions of Colombians.
