Judith Suminwa Tuluka, première femme occupant le
poste de Première Ministre en République
Démocratique du Congo.
Née en octobre 1967. Elle est détentrice d'un Master en
Économie appliquée, option gestion financière de la
faculté économique de Mons, en Belgique et d'un
diplôme d'études complémentaires en Travail dans les
pays en voie de développement.
Elle travaille dans le secteur bancaire avant de rejoindre
les agences des Nations Unies dont le PNUD où elle a
été experte sénior dans des projets d'appui
communautaire dans l'Est de la RDC. Elle exerce
ensuite des hautes fonctions au cabinet du ministère du
Budget avant de devenir la coordonnatrice adjointe du
Conseil présidentiel de veille stratégique (CPVS).
A la tête du Ministère du Plan au sein du gouvernement Lukonde II, Judith Suminwa Tuluka a
brillé par la pratique de gestion axée sur les résultats de développement notamment dans la mise
en œuvre et le suivi du Programme de Développement Local des 145 Territoires (PDL-145T) et la
finalisation du Plan National Stratégique de Développement (PNSD 2024-2028).
Elle est nommée au poste de Première Ministre par le Président de la République Félix-Antoine
Tshisekedi Tshilombo, le 1er avril 2024 devenant ainsi la première femme à occuper ce poste en
République démocratique du Congo.
Mère de deux enfants, elle est originaire de la province du Kongo-Central, précisément du territoire
de Songololo à Kimpese d’où elle adhèrera à l' Union pour la Démocratie et le Progrès Social
(UDPS).

The Honourable Ahmed Hussen
at Minister of International Development
The Honourable Ahmed Hussen was first elected in 2015 to represent the riding of York South—Weston. He has previously served as Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, as Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, and as Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship.
Minister Hussen immigrated to Canada in 1993 and settled in Toronto. He began his career in public service after high school, working with the Hamilton-Wentworth social services department.
Minister Hussen co-founded the Regent Park Community Council in 2002. As its president, he played a key role in securing the $500‑million revitalization project for Regent Park, while advocating for its 15,000 residents to ensure that their interests were protected. He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for his leadership efforts in the Regent Park community.
Serving as National President for the Canadian Somali Congress, Minister Hussen worked with national and regional authorities to advocate on important issues to Canadians of Somali heritage, strengthening civic engagement and integration. His results-driven reputation led to an invitation from the Toronto City Summit Alliance to join a task force for modernizing income security for adults.
As a result of his advocacy work, the Toronto Star recognized Minister Hussen in 2004 as one of 10 individuals in Toronto to have made substantial contributions to the community.
After earning a law degree from the University of Ottawa, Minister Hussen practised law in the areas of criminal defence, immigration and refugee law, and human rights. He served as a director on the board of the Global Enrichment Foundation, an organization that has enabled women in East Africa to access education in colleges and universities in the region, and on the board of Journalists for Human Rights, an organization that empowers journalists in developing countries to cover human rights and governance issues objectively and effectively. Minister Hussen also previously worked as a Special Assistant for intergovernmental affairs to former Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty, and sat on the Government of Canada’s Cross-Cultural Roundtable on Security.

Paula Caldwell St-Onge

Paula Caldwell St-Onge, B.Sc., MBA, ICD.D is an accomplished Ambassador with over 30 years of experience working in the Canadian Government.
She has significant experience in government administration, international relations, political risk, sustainable development, international trade, economic development and environmental sciences. Ms. Caldwell St-Onge began her career in Public Service in 1989 and held progressively more senior positions in the Federal Environmental Assessment Review Office, the Privy Council Office and Environment Canada. At Environment Canada she was the Director General for Environmental Assessment and Emergency Security Preparedness and Chief Enforcement Officer. In her tenure with Global Affairs Canada,
Ms. Caldwell St-Onge held a range of senior positions including Canadian Ambassador to Haiti, Director General Pan-African Bureau, Minister Counsellor Trade for the Canadian Embassy in Mexico and Brazil and Head of Mission-Consul General for the South-Central USA (Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana).
Her expertise includes bilaterial trade, community relations, environmental and social impacts of major projects, and governance (ESG). Paula serves on numerous boards, including Calibre Mining and is the recipient of the Head of Public Service Award for Excellence in Public Policy and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. Ms. Caldwell St-Onge holds a B.Sc. from Queens University and an MBA from Cumbria University, UK.

Nikki Clarke

Nikki Clarke, is the founder, producer, and host of the multiple award-winning talk show, The Nikki Clarke Show on Afroglobal TV Network and on www.nikkiclarkenetwork.com. Nikki is an accomplished singer /songwriter. Nikki is the Immediate Past President of the Ontario Black History Society. Nikki has over 25 years of experience as a community activist. Nikki is an honouree of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women in 2022. In 2023, Nikki was nominated for RBC’s Women of Influence , Broadcast Media by the Black Business, Professionals and Entrepreneur Awards, Entrepreneur and Business by the Waterfront Awards,Torchbearer’s Award by the Voice of Africa and 2024 City of Brampton’s 100 Black Community Builders and Champions . Nikki recently published her first children’s story book called ” The Paper Clip Princess” and will also launch her e book” I Can Care but Can’t Carry” this Fall 2024. Nikki is the National Business and Membership Manager for the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce. Nikki is also the Executive Vice President of Partnerships and Development for the International Peace Festival.

The Honourable Mary Ng
Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development at Office of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Minister of Export Promotion
The Honourable Mary Ng was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Markham—Thornhill in 2017, and has been re-elected twice. She has previously served as Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, as Minister of International Trade, and as Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion.
In her current role, Minister Ng has helped position Canada for long-term success in the global marketplace. This includes her work to strengthen Canada’s trade relations in the Indo-Pacific region, support the United Kingdom’s accession into the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership, and modernize the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement.
Minister Ng has promoted Canadian exports around the world and championed the growth of Canadian businesses by fostering strong international partnerships that attract investments, drive innovation, and create good middle-class jobs for Canadians. She has also advanced initiatives that are making a real difference for women, Black and racialized, and other minority communities, including the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy, the Black Entrepreneurship Program, and the 2SLGBTQI+ Entrepreneurship Program.
With 20 years of experience in education, women’s leadership, job creation, and entrepreneurship, Minister Ng is a dedicated community leader who strongly believes in the power of public service. Her previous experience working for the Ontario Public Service, including the Ministry of Education, and for Ryerson University (now the Toronto Metropolitan University), led to her being recognized as one of Canada’s top-performing public sector leaders. She has also served as Director of Public Appointments in the Office of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Minister Ng immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong at a young age and grew up working in her family’s small business. She knows first-hand the challenges and opportunities that many new Canadians experience. She is dedicated to being a powerful advocate for middle-class families in Markham—Thornhill and works tirelessly to ensure fairness and opportunity for Canada’s diverse communities.

Gabriel Tshitende

Mr. Gabriel Tshitende has more than 20 years of advanced skills and he is an Expert Electrical Engineer with training done at (I.S.T.A/ Kinshasa). Appointed in Charge of Automation and Instrumentation at Bralima from 1996 to 2010. Then appointed in Charge of Automation and Instrumentation at Kamoto Copper Company from 2010 to 2015. Mr. Gabriel Tshitende is now Director of Operations at Elephant Trade (A company based in Kolwezi, DRC which gives professional support to the electrical domaine of automation and instrumentation).

His Excellency Prosper HIGIRO is the current High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda in Canada, Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, Ambassador-designated to the Dominican Republic, Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Haiti, Representative to ICAO. He was appointed on July 15th, 2019, and has resided in Ottawa since November 1st, 2019. From April 2018 to July 2019, H.E. Prosper HIGIRO was a consultant in conflict management.

Neil Reeder

Neil Reeder joins B2Gold following a distinguished government career of over 35 years with Global Affairs Canada. He helped advance Canada's trade, foreign policy and development agenda during seven different diplomatic postings overseas and in increasingly senior positions in Ottawa. Most recently, he served as Canada's Ambassador to the Philippines. His previous ambassadorial postings include serving as Canada's High Commissioner to Brunei and as Canadian Ambassador to Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Honduras. He has also served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico. Mr. Reeder has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton University. He speaks three languages.

Deepak Dave

Over the course of his career, Deepak Dave has focused on capital markets, risk management and private capital in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. Since 2007, Deepak has worked in Canada on post-credit crisis bailouts, mining, energy finance and strategic reviews with Crown corporations and Bay Street banks among others. He provides regular commentary and technical advice on capital markets development and bank regulation in East Africa.
Deepak also brings his financial expertise and passion to the community sector where he has been a board member of the Ottawa Community Loan Fund, the board treasurer of the Centretown Community Health Centre and a member of the City of Ottawa Business Advisory Committee where he focused on the systemic financial issues facing non-profits, charities and small and medium sized businesses. He has worked on social finance products including community bonds and other innovative financing mechanisms.

Steve Tipman

Steve Tipman leads the organization in fulfilling its mission of improving lives through international trade. Directing the successful execution of TFO Canada’s business plans, Steve is responsible for overall administration, strategic management, and reporting to the Board of Directors. With over 22 years of senior management experience in both the private and non-profit sectors, Steve has spent much of his career working in the areas of international trade and development. He spent eight years working at Livingston International, a trade services company focused on customs brokerage and compliance. He also served as a Vice President with CARE Canada and President and CEO of Volunteer Canada. He is a member of the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) School of Management Sciences International Program and sits on Oceans Global Canada Lab Expert Advisory Group. Actively involved with Cooperation Canada, Steve is also a member of its Civil Society Policy Advisory Group, which is co-chaired with Global Affairs Canada and VIDEA. Steve holds an International Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Ottawa and is fluently bilingual in both French and English
