Sebastian Spio-Garbrah is Head of the AfCFTA Unit for Free Trade at the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business. He helped establish the Africa risk research practice at Eurasia Group, a leading global political risk consultancy firm.

Goldy Hyder is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Business Council of Canada. Founded in 1976, the Council is a non-profit, non-partisan organization representing the chief executives and heads of 150 leading Canadian businesses, employing 1.7 million Canadians and composed of every major industry across the country.

Ethiopian Airlines welcomed Mr. Samson Arega as the new Country Manager for Ethiopian Airlines Canada as of Sept 20, 2019. Mr. Arega started his career with Ethiopian Airlines and has been with the company since he graduated from university. Mr. Arega has demonstrated leadership with effective and efficient management in all aspects of the airline’s operations. He has progressed through corporate leadership as Acting Manager, Passenger Sales in Addis Ababa, then as Country Manager in Kuwait.

Louis Watum joined Ivanhoe Mines in December 2014 as General Manager of the company’s operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is the lead manager of Ivanhoe’s mining development activities for the discovery of the Kamoa copper mine and the Kipushi zinc-copper-silver mine.

Ken Hoffman is a Senior Expert for McKinsey’s Basic Materials Institute (BMI). He Co- leads the Firm’s EV Battery Material Research Group and has worked on over 50 EV value chain client projects. His team looks at the impact on raw materials due to the rapid development of advanced battery technologies. He has co-written articles on nickel in EV’s, and a cobalt and lithium paper. Prior to McKinsey, Ken was the global head of metals and mining research for Bloomberg Intelligence Prior to Bloomberg Mr. Hoffman was a head of equity research, analyst, and portfolio manager in the commodity and industrial growth area.
