John McConnell

John has more than 35 years of mining experience, mostly spent in Canadas northern territories. Previously, he was President and CEO of Western Keltic Mines until it was acquired by Sherwood Copper. During his career he was Vice President, Northwest Territories Projects for De Beers Canada where he was primarily responsible for the permitting and development of the Snap Lake Diamond Mine. His experience also includes 12 years with Breakwater Resources Ltd / Nanisivik Mines Ltd in operations at the Nanisivik Zinc and Lead Mine on the northern tip of Baffin Island, and he spent six years with Strathcona Mineral Services Ltd. where his work included engineering, feasibility studies and project development. John is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines, with a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering. He is also a Director of public companies; Hudson Resources Inc., Abacus Mining & Exploration Corp. A strong advocate for the mining industry, he is also a director of industry organizations; Klondike Placer Miners Association (KPMA), and the Mining Association of Canada (MAC).
Greg Johnson

Mr. Johnson has twenty-eight years of experience in the mining industry with an exceptional track record in exploration, development and financing of large scale projects to create value for shareholders.
Prior to joining Metallic Minerals, Mr. Johnson held the positions of President and CEO at Wellgreen Platinum and South American Silver, and was a co-founder and executive at NovaGold Resources. Mr. Johnson began his career with Placer Dome (now Barrick Gold), where he held various senior roles in domestic and international exploration.
Mr. Johnson has developed broad experience in the capital markets and has been involved in raising over $650 million in project financing. For his role in the discovery and advancement of the 40-million-ounce Donlin Creek gold deposit in Alaska, Mr. Johnson was a co-recipient of the PDACs Thayer Lindsay International Discovery Award.
In addition, Mr. Johnson has been recognized for his work in sustainable development and community engagement and was awarded the Robert E. Leckie Award by the Yukon Government for excellence in environmental stewardship.
Matt Turner

Mr. Turner obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Ocean Science (Specialization Geology) from the University of British Columbia in 2002. He has managed and participated in numerous exploration projects throughout Western Canada, focusing mainly on precious metal vein, IOCG and diamond deposits. Mr. Turner has been Rockhaven’s CEO since 2008 and was appointed President in 2015.
Scott Sheldon

Scott Sheldon, BA, started working in the mining industry in the early 1990s. He later became a provider of web services and campaign management to various junior miners in Vancouver. He is also President of Go Metals Corp., the company responsible for extending the Yukon White Gold district south with the Wels Gold project.

Byron King

A trained geologist, Byron King has been with Agora Financial – and now an Agora subsidiary called St. Paul Research – since 2002. Over many years, he wrote a series of newsletters covering the energy and mining sectors to include small cap juniors. He has traveled extensively, and visited exploration, development and producing sites in 6 out of 7 continents. Byron has also spoken at many resource-themed conferences.
Presently, he writes a letter entitled Whiskey & Gunpowder, which explores large scale historical themes and macroeconomic issues, often with angles relating back to basic resources and the fundamentals of wealth creation.
Byron is also a retired officer in the U.S. Navy. He holds earned academic degrees from Harvard, the Naval War College and University of Pittsburgh.

Brandon Macdonald

Mr. Macdonald is a professional geologist with a diverse experience base including exploration geology worldwide and investment banking. In recent years he has focused his efforts in exploration and development as a principal of and consultant to various junior mining companies. In the past he was in the City of London where he worked in structuring financings and risk management at Macquarie Bank. In 2007 Mr. Macdonald graduated with an MBA (with Distinction) from Oxford. He completed his B.Sc. in Geology from UBC in 2000. Mr. Macdonald has a long history of mining exploration work in Yukon, including zinc projects, and originally hails from Ross River, near the Macmillan Pass Project site. He is a Professional Geologist registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
Paul West-Sells

Dr. West-Sells has over 25 years experience in the mining industry. After obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in Metallurgical Engineering, he worked with BHP, Placer Dome, and Barrick in increasingly senior roles in Research and Development and Project Development.
Dr. West-Sells has worked for Western Copper and gold since 2006, where he has held a number of technical and executive positions, and is now the President and CEO overseeing the day to day operations of the company.
Dr. West-Sells sits on the Yukon Minerals Advisory Board, the Board of the Yukon Mining Alliance and is also on the Centre for Northern Innovation in Mining Governing Council.

David DOnofrio

Tara Christie

Ms. Christie has over 20 years’ experience in the exploration and mining business. She became the President and CEO of Banyan in 2016. Prior to that she was the President of privately owned Gimlex Gold Mines Ltd. (2006-2016), one the Yukons largest placer mining operations and was involved in consulting for exploration, mining, environmental assessment, government, community and First Nation relations, including working with First Nation development corporations. She is currently is on the Boards of Constantine Metal Resources Ltd (since 2006) and Klondike Gold Corp. and Western Copper and Gold. Ms. Christie has been a board member of PDAC, AMEBC and other industry associations and was a founding board member of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board (2004-2016). She is active in non-profits and charities, including being President of a charity “Every Student, Every Day†that works to improve attendance in Yukon schools. Ms. Christie has B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of British Columbia and is a registered professional engineer in BC and Yukon.
