She will report directly to CEO Michael Lewis. Tina Hinz succeeds Marc Merrill, who is taking on a new role outside of Uniper. Tina Hinz studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth and Göttingen and worked at the law firm Linklaters from 2007 to 2016, focusing on transactions in the areas of Banking & Capital Markets and Corporate & M&A in Frankfurt, London, and Düsseldorf. Since joining Uniper's Legal and Compliance Department in 2016, she has held a range of senior roles in the Legal and Compliance department and has been instrumental in leading major transactions and key strategic projects. She played a key role in establishing Uniper's first €3 billion corporate financing framework and served as legal lead for the Nord Stream 2 project financing and the LNG terminal Wilhelmshaven. For several years, she was responsible for the legal gas, power and coal trading team as well as the trading compliance team, ensuring compliance with the energy trading regulations. During the 2022 energy crisis, she was central to Uniper's stabilization efforts, in particular in relation to the KfW financings and the negotiations with Fortum as well as the German federal government. Since 2023, she has led the implementation of EU requirements across the Group, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements critical to Uniper's stabilization.
