Singapore / Hong Kong / Australia, 13 July 2026 - M&G Real Estate (M&G), part of M&G's USD 109 billion private markets business, has acquired a 49.9% interest in two modern logistics assets from Stockland in Sydney and Brisbane - Coopers Paddock and the Willawong Distribution Centre respectively - for USD315 million on behalf of the M&G Asia Property strategy.
The acquisition strengthens M&G's growing logistics platform in Australia, adding around 154,000 sqm of high-quality warehouse and distribution space - the equivalent of approximately 22 football pitches - across two well-connected logistics hubs. Both assets feature Green Star Performance certifications and rooftop solar installations. The investment builds on M&G's existing logistics portfolio and its longstanding partnership with Stockland, positioning the business to benefit from continued demand for modern logistics assets driven by e-commerce and supply chain transformation.
M&G Real Estate invests across European and Asian real estate, with capabilities spanning core, value-add and debt strategies. The firm has been actively investing in Asia Pacific for more than two decades and has built a strong track record in Australia since 2004. In logistics, the firm draws on its global sector experience across key markets, alongside its regional platform to access assets where location, occupier demand and operating capability are central to long-term performance.
Jing Dong (JD) Lai, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of M&G Real Estate Asia, said: "Logistics has become one of the most attractive segments of the real estate market, underpinned by long-term structural trends including e-commerce growth, evolving supply chains and population growth. These assets are well positioned within established distribution corridors and add further scale to our Australian logistics portfolio. Together with Stockland, we're building a portfolio designed to deliver resilient income today while investing in assets we believe will remain relevant for decades to come."
