M&G : Infracapital-backed Liquin completes refinancing underpinning its next phase of growth

About this update from M&g Plc

London, 04 August 2026 - Liquin, a leading chemical and biofuel tank storage and logistics business, has successfully refinanced its debt facilities. The strategic transaction establishes a diversified and scalable funding structure with a long-dated maturity profile, with commitments from a range of US Private Placement (USPP) lenders and commercial banks, underscoring institutional confidence in Liquin's business and growth prospects. The refinancing represents a significant step in Liquin's broader ambition to become the partner of choice for its customers and employees. Since the carve-out of the business from Vopak in 2023, the Infracapital owned business completed the transition to independence whilst executing a range of growth projects supporting the storage of biofuels, including sustainable aviation fuel, as well as additional rail capacity on the terminals. The new funding structure directly facilitates that strategy, providing the financial flexibility to pursue growth opportunities. Liquin was the first investment made by Infracapital Partners IV, the latest Infracapital vintage which focusses on essential European mid-market assets. This was followed by an investment in SAF Aerogroup, a leading French operator in mission critical aviation services including medical evacuations and firefighting in 2025. This year, the Fund has completed three further investments in Relobus (public bus transport services in Poland), Farra Marine (Irish crew transfer vessel operator to the offshore wind sector) and BCP Metering (sub-metering and billing in Germany) deploying capital across a diversified portfolio of high-quality European infrastructure businesses. The Fund's investment philosophy continues to centre on active, responsible ownership of essential infrastructure assets. Its involvement in Liquin reflects that approach - supporting the management and wider team at Liquin in its strategic objectives with a hands-on approach to asset management. Herman Deetman, Managing Director, Infracapital, said: "This is a milestone moment for Liquin and one that reflects the hard work of the entire Liquin team in building a business that institutional lenders are keen to back. Our focus as a shareholder has always been on creating the conditions for sustainable, long-term growth - and this refinancing gives us exactly the platform to do that." Janhein van den Ei...
