TAIWAN / SINGAPORE/ HONG KONG, 3 August 2026 - M&G Investments (M&G) has appointed Luke Chang as General Manager* and Head of Intermediary Distribution, Taiwan. Joining today, Luke is based in Taipei and reports to Amy Cho, Head of Asia Pacific, M&G Investments.
Luke will lead M&G's Taiwan intermediary distribution strategy, with responsibility to further develop and deepen M&G's relationships across financial intermediaries. He brings nearly two decades of experience across investment management, distribution and business leadership in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. He joins M&G from AXA Investment Managers, where he was most recently Chief Executive Officer of AXA Investment Managers Shanghai and Head of Sales, China. Prior to this, Luke held a range of investment, distribution and leadership roles at BlackRock across Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
M&G established its Taipei office and secured a Securities Investment Consulting Enterprise licence in 2023, as part of the firm's business development initiatives within Asia Pacific. This is complemented by M&G's partnership with Capital Gateway Investments (Capital Gateway), the master agent for its funds registered in Taiwan - combining M&G's global investment expertise with Capital Gateway's local distribution network.
M&G has been active in Asia Pacific for two decades and continues to expand its regional platform to meet evolving client needs. Across the region, investors are increasingly seeking diversified sources of income, broader access to global opportunities and exposure to private markets as they build more resilient portfolios. M&G's recent appointments of Cameron Sinclair as Head of Institutional Distribution, Australia, and Ruth Poh as Head of Compliance, Asia Pacific, reinforce its commitment to invest in local market expertise, client coverage and operating capabilities to support growing demand for a broader range of investment solutions.
Amy Cho, Head of Asia Pacific, M&G Investments, said: "Taiwan's wealth market continues to evolve as investors seek broader access to global investment opportunities and trusted partners who understand their needs. Luke's extensive experience and deep understanding of Taiwan make him well placed to lead our business. Together with our local presence and partnership with Capital Gateway, he will help us strengthen our relationships with distributors and support clients across a broader range of investment needs."
Luke Chang, General Manager* and Head of Intermediary Distribution, Taiwan, M&G Investments, said: "I am pleased to join M&G and lead its Taiwan business, a sophisticated market where trusted relationships are critical to long-term success. Building on M&G's established foundation in Taiwan, I look forward to working closely with colleagues at M&G and Capital Gateway, as well as distribution partners across the market to support clients in achieving their long-term objectives."
