TORONTO, Jan. 3 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of additional members to its new management and operating team. Specifically they are:
Richard (Rick) Pepperall has been appointed to the position of Vice President Design and Engineering, effective January 8, 2007.
Rick comes to Luxell from L-3 Communications Electronic Systems ("L-3") where he was responsible for design and development engineering of display products. During his 26 years with L-3, Rick was involved with a wide range of engineering disciplines dealing with high technology military products. Over the last 10 years, Rick's responsibilities included display products used in the Apache helicopter, Boeing C17, and the A10, F18, F16 aircraft. He also provided a technical interface with customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Harris Corporation. Rick obtained both his B.A.Sc and Master's in Engineering degrees from the University of Toronto.
Jean-Louis Larmor has been appointed Sr. Vice President Business Development, effective January 2, 2007.
Jean-Louis' sales and marketing experience was gained in dealing with leading corporations and government agencies in the aerospace, defense and security industries in both European and North American markets. His background includes positions with Thales International Canada and North America (U.S.-based) as well as with Sextant Avionique, in both Canada and France, where he was responsible for strategy and business development. Jean-Louis also spent several years in marketing and contracts management positions with Aerospatiale, France.
Anthony (Tony) Pierro has been appointed Vice President of Operations with additional responsibility for facility and security management.
Following a combined 27 years of engineering and manufacturing experience in the aerospace and mining industries, Tony joined Luxell in 2005. His experience includes more than 20 years with Northrop Grumman Canada (which was previously Litton Systems Canada), where he held various engineering and management positions. His responsibilities included managing the integrity of work in design, processes, materials and products including AMLCD and navigation systems for military applications. His background includes managing physical testing laboratories for Falconbridge Industries.
Simon Dann has been appointed Director Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, effective December 4, 2006.
Simon's background includes more than 25 years of diverse experience in communications and market development consulting. He has also held senior management positions with companies in industrial and advanced technology sectors, particularly with small format power systems and fuel cell technologies.
Simon has followed Luxell's development over the past decade as a shareholder consultant and specifically over the past year when he served as executive advisor to the Chairman and interim-CEO- of Luxell. His background includes public service in the area of administrative law as a member of a quasi-judicial administrative tribunal.
Alec Couckuyt, Luxell's CEO said "the addition of these people is a big step forward in our plan to build a strong, competent management team and adds significantly to the skill sets we have already established."
John MacDonald, Luxell's Chairman, said "this is a significant part of the restructuring plan the current Board of Directors developed over the past year and we are optimistic of its importance in leading the Company to a new and profitable future.
