Luxell Announces New Brand Structure and Business Developments

· Issued by Newlox Gold Ventures Corp. via CNW

TORONTO, Feb. 13 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies reports on new business and production activities as well as the consolidation of its Aketelux, Luxell and Luxell Research brands into one Luxell brand as part of its continuing reorganization program.

"The combination of these brands into one operating name is a logical step in our one brand approach to doing business in the flat panel display sector. We see it as enabling us to better leverage and capitalize on the significant technology and intellectual property the company has built up over the past 13 years," said Mr. Couckuyt.

"In order to compete in today's marketplace," continued Mr. Couckuyt, "Luxell needs to be focused and flexible. By consolidating our activities and intellectual assets under one brand we can more effectively manage a single brand rather than several (being Aktelux, Luxell Research and Luxell). We need to be able to cross-reference the range of our technological know-how and be in a position to plan product line expansion and develop next generation products. We also need to give very serious consideration to whether a practical proof-of-concept Black Layer enhanced OLED end product can be identified through our overall product development strategy."

At the same time, Luxell reports the company has received an expansion of its existing contract for maintenance data panel displays ("MDPD") from Indra Systemas of Madrid, Spain.

These displays are intended for use on the Euro-Fighter aircraft and are an addition to the original March 2005 order. The company has also received indication of a follow up order.

Designed to be installed below the wing and used in troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining the aircraft, the MDPD is a ruggedized 1/4 Video Graphics Array flat panel display with keypad and features a 5" diagonal sunlight readable display.

Delivery of the existing order is on-going while new order shipments will be completed over the next 18 months. The additional quantity and follow-on order value is expected to be in excess of 1.1 million dollars.

Deliveries have also begun on the Multi-Function Displays (MFD) for Rheinmetall Defence Electronics (Bremen, Germany) and to be used in the Loadmaster Control System of the Airbus A400M. The A400M is the next generation military airlifter, designed to replace existing C-130 Hercules and similar aircraft types. The original contract when fully exercised will realize a value of approximately 2.3 million Euro.
