This is to notify the Nigerian Exchange Limited (The Exchange) and the investing public that Fortis Global Insurance Plc ("the Company") has applied for, and obtained, the approval of NGX Regulation Limited for further extension of time within which to file and publish its Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 (2025 Audited Financial Statements) and Unaudited Financial Statements for the 1st Quarter ended 31st March 2026 (Q1 UFS 2026). The Company has been granted approval to file and publish the said Financial Statements on or before 31 May 2026.
The delay in the filing of the 2025 Audited Financial Statements arises from the pending approval of the accounts by the Company's primary regulator, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), which remains a mandatory prerequisite for the finalisation and filing of the 2025 Audited Financial Statements.
Although the Q1 UFS 2026 have been duly prepared, the Company is unable to file same at this time, as the 2025 Audited Financial Statements have not yet been finalised and submitted, in accordance with the prescribed filing sequence.
The Company remains firmly committed to upholding the highest standards of financial reporting and transparency and is working diligently to ensure that the Financial Statements are finalised and filed within the extended timeline.
