ENGIE Brasil Energia reports 10.1% increase in net operating revenue in 2Q25 and strengthens position in energy transition 07 August 2025 Compartilhe ENGIE Brasil Energia (B3: EGIE3) ended the second quarter of 2025 with net operating revenue of R$ 3.1 billion (US$ 607.8 million), an increase of 10.1% compared to the same period last year. The performance mainly reflects higher construction revenue from transmission assets and the start-up of new renewable projects, such as the Serra do Assuruá Wind Complex, with greater energy sales in the free market. Adjusted EBITDA totaled R$ 1.9 billion (US$ 372.5 million) and adjusted net income was R$ 564 million (US$ 110.6 million), representing declines of 4.4% and 34.0%, respectively. The results were affected by a strong comparison base in the second quarter of 2024, when the Company recorded a significant indemnity of R$ 262 million (US$ 51,4 million) due to delays in the construction of the Santo Agostinho Wind Complex, located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Project execution and new investments The Company made significant progress in its sustainable growth strategy, investing R$ 781 million (US$ 153.1 million) during the period, with most of it - R$ 621 million (US$ 121.8 million) - allocated to new projects under construction. The Serra do Assuruá Wind Complex (Located in the state of Bahia, Brazil), consisting of 24 wind farms and 846 MW of installed capacity, had its construction completed during the quarter and is already commercially operating with 165 of its 188 wind turbines. It is the largest wind complex of the ENGIE Group worldwide, with 100% of its energy output allocated to the Free Contracting Environment (ACL). Another highlight was the Assú Sol Photovoltaic Complex (Located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil), which reached 96% physical progress and totaled 552.7 MW, combining commercially operating assets and those in testing as of June. The entire complex is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025, reinforcing the role of solar energy in ENGIE's long-term strategy in the country. In the transmission segment, Asa Branca Transmissora de Energia received a Preliminary License from the Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renováveis (Ibama) and made progress in civil and electromechanical works. In July, Graúna Transmissora de Energia began operating its brownfield segment, starting to receive the Permitted Annual Revenue (RAP), equivalent to 5% of the project's total revenue. Financial innovation and sustainability The Company issued R$ 2.2 billion (US$ 431,4 million) in green bonds, its first operation in this category. The proceeds will be used to modernize assets and expand renewable capacity. In ESG performance, ENGIE Brasil Energia received the Gold Seal from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program and was named by XP Investimentos as one of the nine most promising Brazilian companies for investors focused on low-carbon economy assets. Growth in the free market and dividend distribution The free market customer base grew by 21.7% in the period, and the number of consumer units rose 15.0% compared to the second quarter of 2024, reflecting the strategy of offering sustainable and long-term solutions. In accordance with its Dividend Policy, the Board of Directors approved the distribution of R$ 719.2 million (US$ 141,0 million) in interim dividends, equivalent to R$ 0.8814 (US$ 0.1728) per share.
