Copper mineralization extended at El Pulpo

VANCOUVER, April 20 /CNW/ - Ross River Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: RRM) (the
"Company") is pleased to announce the results of the final five holes of the
first phase of drilling conducted on the Cerro Colorado porphyry copper
target. The Cerro Colorado target is one of five copper targets located within
the El Pulpo property boundary.
The drill holes are widely spaced and represent only the first tests of
this target. Copper mineralization and extensive alteration were detected in
all holes. Analyses of core samples were carried out by ALS Chemex in North
Vancouver. Sample intervals were generally two metres in length with
variations determined by geological boundaries. Quality control procedures
included the insertion of blanks and standards at 20 sample intervals and a
systematic reanalysis at 20 sample intervals. Quality control was monitored by
Kennecott Exploration Company.
Summaries of results are presented below for samples containing
1000ppm Cu or greater or averages over larger intervals containing samples of
greater than 1000ppm Cu. Isolated samples containing greater than 1000ppm Cu
are not shown.

Hole CC06-13 was an angle hole drilled at the same location as CC06-14
but was abandoned at 33 metres because of poor recoveries. No samples were
taken from this hole.
The Company will post on its website a more detailed list of analyses
from this drilling program. Uwe Schmidt P.Geo. is the qualified person
managing the program.
The Company is very encouraged by the results from this initial program.
Kennecott Exploration Company has thirty days from the receipt of these
results to elect whether to continue with the El Pulpo option (see press
release dated October 6, 2005).
