ComnetiX(TM) Inc. Offers Widest Selection of Live Scan Products to California

Certification by the Department of Justice for the Seventh
Live Scan Offering from ComnetiX

TORONTO, July 6 /CNW/ - ComnetiX(TM) Inc (TSX:CXI), a leading provider of
integrated biometric identification and authentication solutions, announced
that it has gained certification for the Identification International Inc.
(i3), DigID LE live scan from the California Department of Justice (DOJ). This
brings the total number of live scan devices certified to seven and makes
ComnetiX the industry leader in providing the widest range of scanners to the
California market.
ComnetiX has already received certification from the California DOJ for
six live scan devices from the major manufacturers. The addition of the DigID
LE allows ComnetiX to offer the broadest range of scanners available from one
vendor. Customers will benefit by being able to realize all of the advantages
of the Company's Intelligent Identification Environment(TM) (IIE) suite of
software solutions regardless of the live scan device chosen.
"We're pleased that Comnetix has added i3-based live scan systems to its
already formidable list of biometric identification and authentication
solutions. The CA live scan market is one of the more significant markets in
the US and the cutting edge technology that the digID LE fingerprint scanner
utilizes will be well received" noted Richard Fenrich, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Identification International Inc.
"This certification demonstrates ComnetiX' dedication to offering our
customers the widest range of choices to meet their individual needs," stated
Bernard Crotty, Chief Executive Officer of ComnetiX. "The open architecture
model we have built our IIE(TM) suite of products around allows us to
integrate with multiple live scan and card scan devices while maintaining full
functionality and uniformity across installations. We are pleased to be able
to introduce our customers to the revolutionary DigLE scanner that has the
ability to capture traditional flat and rolled fingerprints as well as
identification flats that are being introduced into the civilian and applicant
background check markets."
