ComnetiX(TM) Inc. selected to participate in RTID Project Pilot

Fingerprinting Services Offices across Canada Already Comply with RTID
Mandate

TORONTO, May 25 /CNW/ - ComnetiX(TM) Inc. (TSX:CXI), a leading provider
of biometric and identification solutions, today reported that it has been
selected to participate in a Real Time Identification (RTID) Release 0.5 Pilot
by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for the processing of Civil
applicant submissions. The Pilot is an early release and will commence in
August 2006, several months in advance of the full release of RTID Phase 1.
Participation in the pilot will give ComnetiX the opportunity to further
familiarize itself with new technological requirements to be implemented in
the RTID Release 1.0 and the new National Police Service (NPS) Automated
Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) later this year.
ComnetiX became Canada's first comprehensive electronic fingerprint
capture service provider in December of 2005. Employees in ComnetiX'
fingerprinting offices from Vancouver to Halifax are already using electronic
fingerprint capture systems and are presently testing the new processes that
will be compatible with the RTID Project NPS-NIST-ICD V1.7.7C specification.
John Conohan, Vice President of Fingerprint Services stated that "this
invitation to participate in the early release pilot is a significant
achievement for our company. Our electronically captured fingerprints will be
placed in an accelerated stream which will provide an enhanced level of
service to all our clients".
"ComnetiX is extremely pleased to be given the opportunity to be one of
the first companies to connect to NPS electronically in order to submit
fingerprints for criminal record verifications for civil purposes," said
Bernard Crotty, Chief Executive Officer of ComnetiX. "This is a major
milestone for the company in the electronic transmission of fingerprint
records and further solidifies the pro-active approach that ComnetiX has taken
to maintain our leadership in the Canadian fingerprinting services market."
