Recently, China Oilfield Services Limited ("COSL" or the "Company") was awarded the "SSE Eagle · Gold Quality" ESG Award, co-organized by Shanghai Securities News and China Securities Net (www.cnstock.com). In addition, Zhao Shunqiang, the Company's Chairman and CEO, was named "Outstanding ESG Leader" by Hong Kong Commercial Daily (HKCD) for strategically laying out the Company's ESG management and planning.

As China's first A+H listed integrated energy service company, COSL has maximized the bridging role of the capital market and seamlessly blended central state-owned enterprise reform expertise with new international ESG governance standards. It has made continuous strides in environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance, establishing itself as a model for central state-owned enterprises in ESG management through concrete actions. Zhao Shunqiang, Party Secretary, Chairman and CEO of the Company, has also consistently called for the Company to streamline its governance structure, boost governance effectiveness, uphold the core values of mutual success with customers, employees, partners and shareholders, and resolutely follow the path of green, low-carbon, sustainable and high-quality development.

In terms of environmental protection, the Company has integrated environmental principles into its strategic planning and business operations, upholding safety and environmental protection concepts, while actively addressing climate change and intensifying efforts in energy conservation, emission and carbon reduction. Additionally, the Company has vigorously developed environmental protection and decarbonization technologies, promoting the full application of technologies such as "Haiheng" CCUS cementing and resource utilization of non-water-based drilling fluids. It has also conducted proactive CO₂ energy enhancement operations, transporting liquid CO₂ captured onshore via ships for injection into submarine formations. This marks China's first "onshore-to-offshore carbon transport" project, pioneering a vital new offshore "negative carbon emission" pathway to achieve the "dual carbon" goals.

On the social responsibility front, the Company has actively participated in public welfare projects, linking the consolidation and expansion of poverty alleviation achievements with rural revitalization. It has focused its efforts on education, employment, and poverty alleviation through targeted initiatives. Overseas, the Company has integrated into local communities via practical actions and philanthropy, building harmonious and mutually beneficial relationships. It has also launched infrastructure upgrading and industrial development projects in Hainan, Xinjiang, Guangdong, Gansu, and other regions to drive comprehensive rural revitalization. In Uganda, it donated essential supplies to medical institutions in Bulisa, while in Indonesia, it provided agricultural machinery to farmers near its Balikpapan base in East Kalimantan to support local community development. Through precise, practical actions, the Company is steadily fulfilling its social responsibilities and elevating its brand image globally.

In terms of corporate governance, the Company has steadily advanced the modernization of its governance system, dynamically optimizing the allocation of rights and responsibilities. It has enhanced the professionalism and independence of the Board of Directors, establishing a governance framework characterized by balanced powers and duties alongside efficient decision-making. In 2025, the Company implemented high-quality governance structure reforms, marked by the abolition of the supervisory board and the transfer of responsibilities to the audit committee. It also became the first listed company in China's oil and gas industry to elect employee representative directors, taking a decisive step toward establishing and perfecting a modern corporate governance system.

The Company's outstanding ESG performance has continued to garner accolades, including major domestic and international industry awards, such as the recently received "Hong Kong International ESG List · Best ESG Information Disclosure Award" and "Hong Kong Commercial Daily 2025 China Listed Companies Excellent ESG Value List· ESG Outstanding Corporate Governance Enterprise". The Company's ESG case study was included in the 4th "New China Credit Jinlan Cup" results of sustainability practices, and it has led domestic industry rankings across many professional ESG evaluators, such as QuantData and SynTao Green Finance, forming a comprehensive "three-in-one" ESG honor matrix.
