Mark Scott joined Sassy Resources as its founding CEO following a twenty year career with Noranda, Inco Limited and Vale. Mark was most recently Vice President of Vale Canada and Head of its Manitoba Operations, overseeing all aspects of the operation from regional exploration to reclamation for three underground mines, fully integrated processing including mill, smelter and refinery, and all associated technical and support services. Mr. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Dalhousie University, a Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management (MCPM) from the Schulich School of Business (York University) and the University of Winnipeg.
A geologist with fourteen years international experience in the exploration industry. Dr. Moss was instrumental in the discovery of the Navachab gold deposit in Namibia which, after 12 years of operation, still contains reserves and resources of 3.7 million oz gold. He has conducted extensive research on hydrothermal ore deposits, culminating with a Ph.D. in geology at the University of Toronto in 2000. Prior to joining Nikos, Dr. Moss was Vice President, Exploration for Amerigo Resources Ltd.
Richard J. Goldfarb, PhD, is a globally recognized expert on orogenic gold deposits having served 36 years with the U.S. Geological Survey’s Mineral Resources Program. Dr. Goldfarb is a Research Professor at the Colorado School of Mines; Adjunct Professor, University of Western Australia; and a Distinguished Overseas Professor at China University of Geosciences, Beijing, China, as well as a private consultant.
Dr. Goldfarb obtained his PhD Geology from the University of Colorado and is the recipient of many awards from scientific organizations around the world. He is a Fellow and Ex-President of the Society of Economic Geologists and an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits. He has senior authored or co-authored more than 225 papers and delivered over 200 presentations in 31 countries.
Mr. Mcbreairty has over 9 years of experience in Gold exploration. Currently, working for Sky Gold Inc. as a Project Geologist on the Mustang Project in Newfoundland and Labrador. Experience includes the Colomac mine in Northwest territories (Nighthawk), and the Hammond Reef project in Atikokan Ontario (Osisko). Various consulting work throughout Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Gwen Preston is the Resource Maven. Her independent letters chronicle her thoughts, buys, and sells in the world of mineral exploration, development, and mining. Gwen has a strong network of contacts, almost 15 years of site visits and due diligence under her belt, a solid grasp of macroeconomics and how they shape metals price moves, and a track record of finding opportunity and managing risk in the metals and mining sector.
Mr. Collins has an exceptional skill set in project development and analysis which is supported by a wide industry network. Through his work as a geologist and running a mining engineering office in Vancouver he has developed an understanding of numerous mineral camps and deposit types around the world.
His experience steps beyond mineral deposits with a breath of experience in the feasibility process and the pitfalls of project construction and optimization. With over 14 years as an office and director of public companies, Michael understands intricacies of building corporate structure, marketing and value accretion. Michael graduated with a BSc. Honour from Dalhousie University in 1996 and is an accredited P.Geo. with EGBC.

Welcome to the 3rd day in the Newfoundland Speaker 1: Gold Virtual Investor Days series. I'm so glad that you could join us. And I'm very excited to be hosting today's panel discussion and then introducing a keynote speaker that I know we are all here on the panel interested to hear from. So without further ado, let's kick off. I am joined today by the president, CEOs, leaders Speaker 1: of 4 different Newfoundland gold explorers. I'm gonna start by giving each of them just 3 minutes, very short time frame, to introduce themselves Speaker 1: and and their company, and obviously very brief, so that we can set the stage and then I have a bunch of questions that I'm going to ask them, mostly around sort of geology and how this incredible Speaker 1: Newfoundland area play is developing. So Speaker 1: let me start with the company that put out some news that caught a little bit of attention this morning. That would be Labrador Gold. And Roger Moss is here to give us a brief introduction to that story.
