CEO, President & Director at Power Nickel
Terry is the CEO of Power Nickel Inc. and the Founder of Save Canadian Mining. Power Nickel is advancing the NISK project in James Bay Quebec. NISK has a historical resource of approximately 3-over-3 million-tonne 2 percent NiEq. Power completed an initial 3D modelling of the project and is drilling 4,000 metres in Q4 with a view to having a new technical report published in Q1 2022.
Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer at Osisko Gold Royalties
Sean Roosen is Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Osisko since June 2014. Prior to this, Mr. Roosen was the President and CEO of Old Osisko. He has led the transition of Old Osisko from a junior exploration company to a leading intermediate gold producer. He was responsible for leading the strategic development of Old Osisko and was instrumental in securing the necessary financing to fund the development of the $1 billion Canadian Malartic Mine. Among other awards, Mr. Roosen was a co-winner of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s “Prospector of the Year Award†for 2007, and was named, together with John Burzynski and Robert Wares as “Mining Men of the Year†for 2009 by the Northern Miner. Mr. Roosen is a Supervisory Board member of EurAsia Resource Holdings AG – a European based venture capital fund – and a director of EurAsia Resource Value SE. Mr. Roosen also sits on the Board of Directors of the following publicly listed companies: Astur Gold Corporation, Bowmore Exploration Ltd., Condor Petroleum Inc., Dalradian Resources Inc., Falco Resources Ltd. and NioGold Mining Corporation. Mr. Roosen is a graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines and has had various progressive positions in the mining industry both domestically and internationally.
Good morning everyone. It's Terry Lynch. I'm here on the Save Canadian Mining podcast. And, you know, really super happy to have a great panel to help us understand what we're campaigning for and what the next few months might look like for us. I wanted to start the session off by introducing the panel, and 1st by thanking them for coming and being here and sharing their time. These guys are very busy and is all volunteer, and we certainly appreciate the time they're taking out of their day to make this happen. On my, as I go around the clock house here on my right, at least on my screen, is Wayne Tisdale. Wayne is a sort of A legendary figure in the junior mining world has done many, many projects, including Rainy River and U.S. Cobalt, among others. Now he's Canadian Platinum is probably the 1 that he's running at the moment. But Wayne's been around for 30 plus years, been a very successful junior mining investor and developer, and certainly has got a wide body of knowledge to bring to a topic like this. Immediately under Wayne is Sean Roozen. Sean is the Chairman and CEO of Cisco Gold Royalties, and probably most famous for discovering and bringing to production Canada's largest producing gold mine, Canadian Marlborough. And Cisco has certainly been a huge monster home run. And Sean has, you know, Eric Sprott has been sort of our, 1 of our mentors on the way through, said, you know, I need to step back a little bit while I deal with some family things. And, you know, reach out to Sean because he's your man to guide us through. So I'm super happy that Sean's been able to step up and help us at Safety in the Mine to bring this issue to the front.
