Samantha Mandigora is an alumna from University of Cape Town (UCT Canada) and has a strong professional network within the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business. She feels strongly about the importance of highlighting the skillset and expertise of UCT Canada’s alumnae in Canada and of the need to continue building relationships and networks with individuals and organizations.
Ken Jones
Director Of Sustainability at B2Gold Corp
Mr. Jones has over 15 years of global experience in the mining industry starting as a consultant, managing environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) and project permitting; geochemical characterization and water quality modeling; and reclamation and closure planning for international mining projects in N and S America, Africa and Asia. Mr. Jones joined B2Gold Corp. in 2012 in the role of HSE Manager, responsible for establishing programs for engineering and administrative compliance regarding international environmental, health, and safety regulations and best practices. Mr. Jones is currently the director of the Company’s environmental and corporate social responsibility functions for its three operating mines, and development and exploration projects. He leads the development and implementation of the Company’s sustainability strategy and programs, including environmental stewardship, community relations, and social responsibility, as well as managing its ESG disclosure reporting. Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iowa and is a registered Professional Engineer (Colorado, USA).
