He joined the company in August 2016 and was previously the Fertilizer Teams Cost Analyst contributing across the nutrient teams. Prior to joining CRU, Humphrey worked as a geologist at a major lead-zinc mine in the Republic of Ireland and at a gold exploration project in Mexico. He holds an MSci in Geology from Imperial College London and an MSc in Mining Geology from Camborne School of Mines (University of Exeter).

His international career includes North American experiences with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), and European experiences with Millennium Global and Blackthorn Capital. He recently served as a board director to the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Rwanda and as member of the President of Senegal’s Council of Investments.
Mr. Sagna holds a Bachelor degree and a Master of Finance from Boston College and has been sponsored to management programs both at Harvard Business School and London Business School.

Speaker 2: Of course, with population growth and economic growth as well, Speaker 2: the demand for food increases, Speaker 2: therefore the demand for agricultural Speaker 2: produce increases, Speaker 2: and fertilizer, Speaker 2: in particular potash, plays a very important role in this.
