Ms. Christie possesses over 25 years of expertise in the exploration and mining sector. She has held
the position of President and CEO at Banyan since 2016. Before this role, she was the President of
Gimlex Gold Mines Ltd., a major placer mining operation in the Yukon, from 2006 to 2016. Her
background includes consulting in areas such as exploration, mining, environmental assessment,
and fostering relationships with government, communities, and First Nations, including
collaboration with First Nation development corporations. Currently, she is a board Director of
Osisko Metals and has previously served on the boards of Western Copper and Gold, PDAC,
AMEBC, among other industry associations. Additionally, she was a founding board member of the
Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board from 2004 to 2016. Ms. Christie is
also involved in non-profit initiatives, notably serving as President of the charity “Every Student,
Every Day,” which aims to enhance student attendance in Yukon schools. She holds both B.Sc. and
M.Sc. degrees from the University of British Columbia and is a registered professional engineer in
British Columbia and Yukon.
