Sasha Jacob
Founder & CEO at Ceylon Graphite Corp

Sasha Jacob is the Chairman & CEO of Jacob Capital Management Inc. a merchant bank focused on the renewable power and infrastructure sectors. Sasha brings over 20 years of experience in the power sector, including founding and leading the power and infrastructure practice at a leading Canadian investment bank, as well as several years in senior political positions with the Ontario Minister of Energy. He was the first investment banker to focus on renewable energy in Canada and has managed over 100 transactions in the renewable sector valued at more than $8 billion. Sasha was recognized by Institutional Investor as one of the “5 Most Influential Emerging Players in Renewable Energy†globally.
Sasha holds a BA from Bishop’s University, MBA from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University and GP LLM from the University of Toronto. He was the recipient of the Laurier MBA Alumni 2009 Outstanding Executive Leadership Award and the Bishop’s University Top 10 After 10. Mr. Jacob has served on the Boards of several charitable organizations including as Vice Chair of World Wildlife Fund (WWF Canada), Director of Plan International Canada, Past Chair of the Board of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO Maple Leaf) and current Chair of the Board of Nature United (The Nature Conservancy in Canada).
Benji Fenech Salerno
PhD Researcher at Imperial College London

Fenech Salerno is a post-doctoral researcher within the 2D wearable electronics and biosensors (2DWEB) group at the Department of Chemistry, Imperial College London. He received his BSc in biology and chemistry from the University of Malta in 2018 and an MRes in nanomaterials from Imperial College London in 2019. He joined the 2DWEB group in 2019 as a PhD candidate on a full departmental scholarship, where he worked at the intersection of graphene and chemical sensing technology. His primary research interest is developing chemical sensing technology for health and environmental monitoring applications. In 2023, Benji was ranked in the CAS Future Leaders Top 100.
