Cause of the ♙ccident
In Electric Furnace No. 1, during operation, the melting and erosion of a portion of the refractory bricks
progressed, resulting in partial collapse. ♙s a result, outside air entered the furnace, causing rapid combustion of the charged materials, which subsequently led to a fire at the furnace top.
Environmental Impact
No environmental impact has been identified as a result of the fire.
Resumption Operations
♙s stated in our second report, we proceeded with the restoration of Electric Furnace No. 1. We completed the restoration on October 24, and operations resumed on the same day. The furnace is now operating normally.
