(TSX.V: TLG) RICHMOND, BC, Nov. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Tagish Lake Gold Corp. (TSX-V: TLG) is pleased to report the Company has received the metallurgical report on process tests for the Rainbow Zone. Part of the feasibility study program, the mineral process test work confirms that over 95 % of the gold and 88% of the silver is recovered in a flotation concentrate representing less than 15% of the feed. Extractions up to 90% of the gold and 87 % of the silver were obtained from leaching of the flotation concentrates. The overall silver recovery would be 77%, a marked improvement from the results of previous testwork. For both the flotation and leaching tests, improvements can be expected through optimization of test conditions. The current test program confirms that flotation of a bulk concentrate, followed by leaching, remains the process method of choice. Additional testing to improve and optimize the results is ongoing. The test program also examined other aspects of processing to provide design data and information necessary to establish the process plant flow sheet. The next phase of process testing will be undertaken on the Rainbow Two and Berg zones outlined in this year's diamond drilling program. The mineral process test program was conducted by Doug Warkentin, a P.Eng. for Cantest (formerly Vizon SciTec Inc.), a qualified person under NI 43-101. The Company also announces that it has issued an additional 510,000 non-transferable common share purchase warrants, each whole warrant entitling the holder to acquire one additional common share at a price of C$0.15 per share on or before August 3, 2007. The Warrants were issued in satisfaction of outstanding delivery obligations to an arms-length subscriber who participated in the non-brokered private placement that closed on February 3, 2006. The Warrants and the common shares issuable upon exercise of any Warrants will be subject to a four-month hold period expiring on February 24, 2007 in accordance with applicable Canadian securities law and the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange.
