(TSX.V: TLG)
RICHMOND, BC, April 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Tagish Lake Gold Corp. (TSX.V - TLG) announces that the Company has awarded a contract for a mini pilot plant test on a bulk sample from the high grade Rainbow gold-silver zone at Skukum Creek. Previous test work has indicated that flotation of a bulk concentrate, followed by leaching, was the process method of choice for the zones at Skukum Creek. The objective of this program is to provide sufficient concentrate for testing to establish the process parameters and design of the leach circuit for the plant.
The program will also include testing on samples from the Rainbow Two zone and the newly discovered Berg zone to confirm that the selected process route is appropriate for these zones.
These studies are part of the program to establish the process plant flowsheet that will provide gold recovery over 90 %, and silver recovery in excess of 75%.
Current Exploration Program
Extension of the underground workings on the Rainbow Two and Berg zones at Skukum Creek are the focus of the program currently underway. Crosscuts are also being driven to provide the platform for drilling of the upward and downward extensions of the Rainbow Two and Berg zones.
