· Issued by Superior Mining International Corporation via CNW
TSX-V: SUI

VANCOUVER, June 22 /CNW/ - Superior Mining International Corporation,
formerly "Superior Mining Corporation", (the "Company" or "Superior")
announces that it has engaged Snowden Group of Johannesburg, to conduct an
updated review of the resource estimate on the reef section of the Middelvlei
property called the Black Reef which is part of the Middelvlei JV Project
located on the West Rand Goldfield of the Witwatersrand Basin of South Africa.
Graham Greenway, BSc (Hons) Geology University of Natal, MSAIMM, MGAA,
Divisional Manager is the Qualified Person that will be preparing the report.
Graham is a geologist with more than 13 years experience in the African mining
industry. His career includes experience as a Mine Geologist in gold, tin,
copper and uranium, as well as an Exploration Geologist working in the
Bushveld Complex of South Africa and as a Resource Evaluation Geologist for
Gold Fields including projects ranging from West African Witwatersrand type
multiple reef gold deposits, coal, porphyry copper-gold to massive sulphide
base metal deposits. His most recent posting has been as Chief Geologist for
the opencast R¿ssing Uranium mine in Namibia before joining Snowden in
February 2003.
It is expected that the NI 43-101 compliant technical report concerning
the Black Reef will be available within 45 days at which time the Company will
provide an updated resource estimate by way of follow-up news release and will
file the technical report on SEDAR. The Middelvlei JV Project is owned and
operated by Pamodzi Gold, in which the Company's South African subsidiary
holds a 50% interest.
As disclosed in the Company's news release dated April 12, 2006, Pamodzi
Gold has completed an exploratory diamond drilling programme on two additional
reef horizons on the Middelvei property called the Ventersdorp Contact Reef
(VCR) and the Middelvlei Reef. These two additional reef horizons will not be
included in the technical report to be prepared by the Snowden Group. The
Company has not yet received any drilling results from Pamodzi and is not
expected to until resource modelling has been completed and appropriate
reports have been prepared. The Company hopes to coordinate with Pamodzi the
commissioning of an appropriate technical report, which also meets the
requirements of NI 43-101 in respect of these additional two reefs, which will
provide a further updated resource estimate on the Middlevlei JV Project.
The Company wishes to confirm that preliminary preparation work for the
Middlevlei JV Project has now been completed which included removal of initial
top soil to expose the Black Reef horizon for ongoing appraisal, grade
control, and geological mapping. A Toll Milling Agreement has been formally
concluded with Harmony and the ore will be transported to and treated at the
nearby Doornkop Plant. Construction of an ore handling system to feed into the
Doornkop Plant is progressing and is expected to be completed early in the
third quarter of 2006.
The Company is an early stage exploration and near term producer focused
on the mining of gold deposits in the central Witwatersrand region of South
Africa.
