Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group, Inc. (Director, President & CEO: Toru Takakura) hereby announces the publication of our Climate Change Report 2025/2026 today.
We endorsed the TCFD Recommendation in 2018, since then we have actively addressed and disclosed climate change issues.
This year's report includes our regular disclosures on the progress of our transition plan towards carbon neutrality and on our key targets, as well as updates on climate scenario analysis. In addition, we have also implemented a sector policy for the mining industry and an assessment on clients' transition status as part of our efforts to enhance risk management. We have also expanded our content on circular economy, natural capital and impact creation. These updates should lead to a more comprehensive disclosure integrated with climate change.
We will continue our relentless challenge in realizing a carbon neutral society through a close and trusting dialogue and cooperation with all of our stakeholders.
