Notice regarding the Execution of Collaboration Agreement with Raymond James Financial, Inc.

Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group, Inc. (Director, President & CEO: Toru Takakura), and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited (President: Kazuya Oyama, hereinafter "SuMiTB"), are pleased to announce that they have entered into a Collaboration Agreement (hereinafter "the Agreement") with Raymond James Financial, Inc. (hereinafter "Raymond James").

Since 2017, SuMiTB has held a minority equity interest in GreensLedge Holdings LLC (hereinafter "GreensLedge") through non-voting preferred equity and has engaged in collaborative initiatives by leveraging GreensLedge's strong structuring capabilities and its extensive North American network. GreensLedge is a boutique investment bank that is highly regarded in the fields of structured credit and securitization.

Recently, Raymond James acquired a majority ownership interest in GreensLedge. SuMiTB, however, will continue to retain its minority interest in GreensLedge. As a result, SuMiTB has become a joint shareholder of GreensLedge alongside Raymond James.

The parties believe that, by mutually leveraging their respective strengths and expertise, this relationship could lead to the creation of new collaboration opportunities and contribute incremental medium- to-long-term corporate value to each respective company. Potential collaboration areas could include finance, M&A and real estate transactions, asset management, and other potential opportunities.
