Company News STRABAG completes acquisition of UK ground engineering specialist Van Elle 16 June 2026 STRABAG UK has acquired publicly listed Van Elle Holdings plc, one of the largest ground engineering contractors in the UK, on 15 June 2026 Building on its current capabilities and ever-growing portfolio of projects, the acquisition of Van Elle strengthens STRABAG UK's national expertise and increases its value creation across both building and infrastructure projects for existing and future clients. Van Elle has an established market position as a leading ground engineering and geotechnical specialist in the UK. Complementary client relationships and end markets, particularly in the building, water and energy sectors, create attractive opportunities to combine STRABAG's civil engineering and existing ground engineering capabilities. Van Elle delivered 2025 revenues of around € 150 million and has more than 600 employees. STRABAG UK has acquired the entire company after the majority of shareholders voted in favour of the proposed transaction. The purchase price amounts to approximately £59 million (approx. € 68 million). The acquisition of Van Elle marks a significant milestone in strengthening and expanding our presence in the UK. We are delighted to welcome more than 600 highly skilled employees to the STRABAG family.
