SINGAPORE - November 18, 2025 - Stamford Tyres International Pte. Ltd. (Stamford Tyres), a leading Singapore-headquartered tyre distributor and retreader, today announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GIIB Rubber Compound Sdn. Bhd. (GIIB), a rubber compound technology company and subsidiary of GIIB Holdings Bhd.

This landmark collaboration is poised to promote significant green initiatives and accelerate the adoption of circular-economy practices for truck and bus tyres in Singapore.

The MOU, signed on September 12, 2025, outlines a framework for GIIB to supply advanced, sustainable tyre-retreading materials, including recycled rubber compounds and eco-friendly tread liners for integration into Stamford Tyres' retreading operations.

Clare Law, Chief Operating Officer of Stamford Tyres Group, expressed strong optimism about the partnership. "Circularity is a key pillar of Singapore's sustainability agenda, and tyre retreading plays an important role in reducing landfill waste while extending product life. Through this partnership with GIIB, we aim to accelerate research and development into sustainable compounds made from tyre waste with validated performance results, with the goal of creating green tyres that can match, and eventually outperform, conventional tyres in durability, mileage, and efficiency. This collaboration reinforces Stamford Tyres' commitment to environmental responsibility while unlocking new opportunities for innovation and long-term value for the company."

Under the terms of the two-year agreement, the collaboration will focus on several key areas:

• Supply and Integration: GIIB will supply certified green and sustainable rubber products, including rubber compounds made from recycled tyres and eco-friendly tread liners designed for high-quality retreads. Stamford Tyres will integrate these green products into its supply chain, retreading operations, and distribution network.

• Joint Innovation: Both parties will explore the joint development of new sustainable materials and engage in active knowledge-sharing to enhance product performance and maximise sustainability impacts within a structured research and development (R&D) framework.

• Market Promotion: Stamford Tyres and GIIB may jointly promote their green partnership at public forums and trade exhibitions, with the goal of increasing industry awareness and accelerating the adoption of circular-economy solutions within the tyre industry.
